New Delhi:
India on Sunday successfully test-fired the 3,500 km strike range nuclear-capable K-4 submarine-launched ballistic missile off the coast of Andhra Pradesh, further strengthening capabilities to hit enemy targets from submarines.

The test-firing was carried out from an underwater platform in the sea during the daytime, government sources told ANI.

The missile is being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for being deployed on the fleet of the Arihant Class nuclear submarines being built by India.

India is expected to carry out more tests of the missile before it is ready for being equipped on the nuclear submarines. At the moment, only the first nuclear boat INS Arihant is operational for the Navy.

K-4 is one of the two underwater missiles that are being developed by India for its submarine force.

The other one is the over 700-kilometre strike range BO-5.

as per Wikipedia arihant has 3 missile tube for test purpose, and i don't thinks its currently carries MIRV warhead,
And no need for Pak nuclear sub because our enemy is our next door AIP subs is enough for Pakistan

No MIRV test has been conducted as of now.
Other parameters are well tested now and this missile is production ready 4 can be carried in Arihant.
But payload close to 3000 kg is intended for MIRV purpose.
But again Arihant is kind of training/Pilot Platform and only missiles it will fire in anger if any will be K-15 which can be carried in numbers and K-4 is also will likely not be deployed in future more capable SSBMs as another monster is almost ready for that honour.
Agni missile series will likely be replaced with K4 base tech in future also.
