India still dominates Pak's strategic threat perception: US April 06, 2011

nopes the solution in anyones favor would result in change of balance. As in if it is in favor of china goi will be doomed in second with one billion people actually hating china literally. Same goes for china. So its better for the right time then getting in chaos... With india china cannot have a pie and eat it too

The Indians are especially interested in Gilgit-Baltistan because it borders Afghanistan. India badly wants a border with Afghanistan.

You're right.

Also, without Gilgit-Baltistan, China and Pakistan would no longer have a land border. Which will destroy the dream of Gwadar port.

They want it very badly.

More reasons for most Pakistani troops to keep being stationed in Pakistan's eastern borders.

Pakistan must continue looking after its own interests and not western nation's interests.

Its when we invite our most closest ally :china: that they are there :pakistan:
There are there to protect their strategic assets ... simple as that. For any nation economy and prosperity for its people comes first.

Justifies your presence in Pakistan Kashmir then.

Not really. As has been clarified before, they are there for construction work.

If India were to make a move for GB, then I think China+Pakistan combined would be able to hold on to it fairly easily.

India crossed INTERNATIONAL BORDERS and invaded Pakistan twice.

Once in 1965, when it crossed INTERNATIONAL BORDERS and invaded Lahore, Pakistan.

The second time was in 1971, when it crossed INTERNATIONAL BORDERS and invaded East Pakistan and broke Pakistan and made Bangladesh. The same India is dreaming for Balochistan province of Pakistan.

SO yes, India is the biggest threat to Pakistan.

No other country has done to its neighbour what India had done to Pakistan.

We Pakistanis will never forget. We will even teach our children and grandchildren not to trust india/indians.

Not to mention the hatred Indians have for Pakistanis and Muslims in general as evident from indian senior member kinetic trolling account and his posts.

By the way, we have only internationally recognized disputes with India and no other country. We wish all our other neighbours the best. We Pakistani Muslims will not fight our own people for some one else's war. This is what our enemy, India, wants Pakistan to do. Having a neighbour like India on our eastern and western borders is the worst imaginable thing for Pakistan. Thats why fighting the Afghan Taliban is not in Pakistan's interests. Afghan Taliban are the only people who will not allow any indian presence in Afghanistan.

India claiming GB is in similar lines as Pakistan claiming Ladakh and Jammu. Political chips to keep the balance on the table.
What construction work are they doing there... if I may ask.

Hahaa... give her some space buddy. We are not here for grammar and sentence, else a lot of members would not qualify posting here.

na, i don't give a crap about grammar as long as i can understand the message. but i do get kinda pissed when people just type unintelligible crap.

There are billions of threads on this issue, but I'll quote from your own media, just for the sake of expediency.

"The fact of the matter is that China, at our request, is helping us in repairing the Karakoram highway, which has been severely damaged by the recent floods and landslides. Anything beyond this is one's figment of imagination," Basit said.

President Asif Ali Zardari recently said that Pakistan had requested China to provide supplies to 25,000 people in Gilgit-Baltistan after they were cut off due to the flooding and landslides.
