India Stands with World against Israel at UNHR Council

Can you please give more information on this. I was not aware of this.

The most memorable one is Salvador Allende and his overthrow by Pinochet in Chile.

Just do a basic research.

The fact is United States would back right wing conservative governments and would often depose left wing governments by CIA backed coups.

For a long time, it was the stated latin american policy of the U.S that no other power may interfere in Latin America except them.

You know why India officially isn't supporting Israel, buddy?
Because while Israel is completely useless to India's interests, the Gulf States in particular shelter THOUSANDS of migrant workers who send THOUSANDS of dollars in cash back to India. India needs the natural resources too. Where will you get oil from? Where will you get natural gas?
It's amusing watching you right-wing nuts support Israel because of "muh sentiments" and "muh whining arab muslims" when in the end, India will always stand behind the Arabs because they need them.

This is true.

especially for Indian states that rely on remittances like Kerala :-)

wait, :(

B-but I thought the US didn't ever do anything wrong! It was Saudi Arabia! Hamas! Al Qaeda! Salafist Islamic reptilian Arab conspiracy!

Well South America was meddled with by U.S. even more than the Middle East. For a long time, if a south american country elected a socialist leader promising to nationalise the resources of the country, that nation was ripe for a 'revolution'

if you get what I mean.

Yeah, I know. I was just trying to be light.

I don't get why the Indian posters here defend Israel to the hilt.

If India buys Israeli weapons, India pays for it as well.

Maybe this should serve as a wake up call for energy dependency and economic situation.

Youu think it's just a question of money and business? In 1999 when the Kargil war was on we were puping in several thousand shells into those hills every day. There was a serious risk that we would run low on certain kinds of ammo and a few officers were dispatched to Israel to see if we could borrow some stock. You know what their officers did? They took our men to their dump opened the door and said as much as you need, take the whole thing if you want. It took less than 5 mins. Israel is one of our closest friends, it's a country we want to be like.

No one seems to be recognizing the fact that hamas DELBERATELY hid their launchers in populated places. If they didn't stop the Hamas, they can whine as much a they want but Israel has done what it has to do to protect its people.

again, don't mistake my condemnation for Israel as hatred of it.

In terms of science terms, technological advances, and Human resource capabilities we should be more like Israel.

i'm just pointing out that our relationship is deeper than many people think. Trust me, in a war, they will sacrifice their people if need be to stad by us. Fat chance anyone else will do that for us. But most importantly, if muslim 'ummah' didn't think it was important act against Hamas when they placed launchers among thickly populated palestenian places and fired those rokets into Israel, then they should very well be ready for the backlash. The 'grieving father' with the dead baby didn't raise a word of protest when he saw Hamas firing rockets to make 'grieving fathers' of Israelis.
And let me also tell you that the image of 'victmized' muslims s becoming too frequent an excuse. They don't condemn the outrageus acts of their own people but start crying when the other side acts. Those lands belong to the Jews. They should hand them over to the jews.

The zionazis go all the way to help those who are oppressing Muslims, nothing new! Birds of a feather flock together.

No one seems to remember that the zionazis started this genocide by blaming Hamas for the abduction of the three zionazis. Now the zionazi media itself admits that Hamas was not responsible for the abduction.

You clearly forget to see that none of us 'right wing nuts' are asking to take a stand. We are asking out PM to 'abstain'. Which is actually neutral.

Do not worry. The oil and gas equation is balanced with our agriculture exports to them. So they know us as much as we know them. It is an 'understanding of mutual interests'.

Who said Israel is useless to our interests?

The thing is, most of Israeli-India cooperation is done behind doors, but you have no idea that other than military, there are much, much larger commercial ventures in which Israel and India are involved with each other. Renewable energy, water resource management, solar power plants, agricultural sciences, research in genetics, you name it.
