What's new

India spends 2 billion on China BYD electric buses, BUT they are not happy? India has to pay the full cost before any delivery.

Hey @etylo, BYD is also not listening to you. They are seeking permission to set up a plant here.
I hope you are already on a flight to their corporate HQ to convince them to not come to La La La La land.

BYD seeks nod for $1 billion plan to build EVs, batteries in India

When china itself is going through an economic crisis, it makes sense to invest in the other emerging big market .

Sitting in Canada @etylo claims otherwise. Just wait. He will trash all such claims and make claims of how well China is doing.

Generally he responds within few seconds. I guess he is on a flight to meet BYD and Xiaomi bosses. Hence, the delay.

It sucks taking Ls after Ls, they celebrated Foxconn-Vedanta JV getting broken as an achievement, turns out Foxconn now wants JV with TSMC and TMH to build a Fab in India. They were claiming how Xiaomi is being tortured in India and why they shouldn't invest here, turns out they're interested to bring more production here. Now they were crying over "payment issues" to BYD and now BYD wants to move some production here

Xiaomi, Wistron, Foxconn, Ford Motor, Posco, Vodafone, Amazon, Walmart, what do these companies have in common?
Yes, they were all robbed of a fortune by the Indian government.

Indians will fairly rob every business investing in India regardless of country.
Make money in India and spend it in India, you cannot even take a penny away.

So? Is anything wrong?

Isn't that a good policy for the country and its own self-interest?

You can take a significant profit amount from India, rest to invest in India, get more profit, and again takeout a significant profit amount

What do you want - India should allow itself to be robbed by foreign businessmen?

These companies hired lawyers and consultants to manage their legality.

But the local lawyers and consultants are too dumb to understand their own country.

It's cost their customers heavily.

Actually, any mistake made by these lawyers and consultants should be paid for by themselves.
