‘India shouldn’t impose its will on neighbours’

India is a country but not a nation.

A prosperous BD will call into question why India
should exist.

That's great then , India has 2,000 years before Bangladesh can question its existence. However, by then I am not sure if Bangladesh will continue to exist or will be a part of Bay of Bengal.

No, what I meant is that a much more prosperous unitary BD will lead the different ethnicities
in India to question the futility of being part of a larger but poorer state.

Remember that the only reason why single-ethnic majority Sri Lanka is not already middle-income is the 25 year civil warimposed on it by India and a BD that became independent in 1947 would be miles ahead of both India and Pakistan now in economic development.

That's why I stated , India still has 2000 years before that happens.

If India keeps messing up, it will happen in the next 2-3 decades.

Don't worry about India messing up. Try to clean the mess in Bangladesh first so that at least people would not be forced to migrate to a country in the neghbourhood illegally despite of the threat to life. Also, keep an eye on that creeping Bay of Bengal. India has, can and will take care of itself.

No proof any illegal BD'shis in India but just Indian claims.

BD landmass is currently increasing due to sediment deposits from the Himalayas.

BTW - How much does a farm labourer earn in India as the current going rate is 110 dollars a month in BD for a 5 day week?

Here is example of blatant indian lie that ‘India doesn’t impose its will on neighbours’

India to seek international recognition for Hasina’s government

Ittefaq Report

India has decided to lead the efforts made towards soliciting international recognition for Sheikh Hasina’s new government. Sources at South Bloc said India will hold discussions with powerful countries and international forums to dissuade them from enforcing any sanctions on Bangladesh in view of the one-sided election held yesterday.

Many western countries, especially US said this election lacks credibility. A few higher-ups at Washington believe Sheikh Hasina could have accepted the opposition’s demand and resigned in the interest of democracy. Sources said US may decide not to recognise the government that will be formed soon. Such measures have already been discussed in meetings with South Bloc.

Sources said India and US harbour different opinions about Jamaat-e-Islami-one of the key partners of the BNP led 18-party coalition that made up the opposition. US views Jamaat favourably while India doesn’t. India fears Jamaat’s mere existence is a threat for India’s and Bangladesh’s security. India believes the secular AL government has managed to curb militancy and fundamentalism by a great extent in this region.

The Delhi government will try to solicit Commonwealth’s approval after the election. India at present is a member of Commonwealth Ministerial Action group. India will fight Bangladesh on this as well as other possible fronts.

as far s i know, ancient India is not established by the people in India now, don't be proud of the long history.and If there is no British colonial in South Asia,India may not have a unified country.

On average It's going at a rate Rs 250-300 INR per day in West Bengal, can't say about other states though.

So at the higher rate of 300 Taka then it is 110 dollars a month for a 5 day week, which is the same as BD

But, we still have Indians claiming that BD'shi are migrating illegally to India:crazy:

Like I said,it's the average payout in the rural/semi urban sectors. In the cities the construction workers earn a greater income.Besides,it's for West Bengal which by the way you know happens to be among the poorest and most under-developed states in our country. So payout in the prosperous southern, western and northern states are quite higher. That's why it's becoming harder for us to get experienced labours with every passing day due to large scale migration of the workers to other states.May be the Bangladeshis are doing the same.

Dude West Bengal is pretty much average for India. It is in between states like Uttar Pradesh and wealthier ones like Gujarat. Even saying this, Gujarat GDP/capita around 50% higher than West Bengal so not a multiple difference of many times.

Since BD can provide many economic opportunities for the poor from garment work for females and rickshaw pulling and farm labour for men, it is bizarre that BD'shis would migrate to what is another 3rd world country with slightly higher incomes in certain parts of the country. No one in BD starves or lacks employment that at least can give the bare minimum of shelter and food, then the conclusion must be that no-one in BD would be going to gain economic benefits in India.

BD economy has been doing better than India for the last 2 years and this looks like it will continue for the forseeable future. Simply, poor BD Muslims would be crazy to even think of migrating illegally to India.

If India doesn't try to Impose it's will then India is not India
