India should take a lesson from what China thinks and does

The scortched earth defence policy from a defensive Indian mindset may be changing in certain areas along India China border but certainly not from all the areas. Unfortunate as it is, it needs a changed mindset to change the mindset.

Many of our founding figures also were educated in the West. Our education system is based of the West.

The legacy of a governing system. One system disrupts life to hail the advancement for modernity and the other keeps life in limbo to avoid modernity for so-called survival. Ironic indeed.
 
@hinduguy too bad we didn't adopt western enlightenment age views on superstition.

The other keeps life in stasis in the 15th century to keep the old power structures intact.

Ambedkar while critiquing Gandhi on his village ideal wanted Indians to adopt the migration of Indiansnto big cities as he believed modernity and a social system based on meritocracy would break the ancient systems in place.

I agree with him, as ancient prejudices can only be broken through interaction, fraternising and education.

enlightenment came from within the society, its not a system, its not a practice that can be adopted.
5 year plan, SEZ system, multiple round auctioning of natural resources like we did for 3G, these are examples of what that we can study how others do, and see whether it works for us.
