Our nice neighbors are allowed to interact with us after all they have done to us and Afghanistan? how / why are they trying to even bat an eye lash towards Afghanistan after what they did to Afghanistan (and blamed Pakistan for it)? May all be forgiven and rightly guided and may Allah SWT bless everyone , save Afghanistan from us Pakistanis tainted by our neighbors to the East (who in turn are themselves in need of His blessings).

This is just go give them a fair shot and bowing out before being kicked out as they were never a stakeholder in afghanistan and never will be one. i disagree on the saudi level though. In fact, they need to completely part ways with the saudi-promoted wahabi way of doing things. Just wont working; its not working anywhere else in the middle east, its never worked in Pakistan and it is only being forced to work in saudi Arabia at the tip of the gun.

I wouldn't hope for Saudi level but re-education Afghan Talibans will be a time consuming exercise.

He may have been a bit tactless but the Taliban were pretty much a Pakistani creation, sponsored by American money with objectives that changed over time (80s - anti Soviet, 90s - anti India). The reluctance by the generals to abandon the Taliban and switch over to the new government - after the US invasion was an opportunity lost to retain influence in Afghanistan.
