Chahbar route is three fold more expensive than via Pakistan.... that can never be a viable trade route as the whole point of a trade route is to minimize the trading cost. Pakistan can't be ignored and in all fairness we can't ignore India too... we must make a real effort to get India on-board on CPEC... otherwise it too would not reach it's full potential/

No, once rail line will complete than it will help India to reach Afghanistan and middle East countries. These route will be shorter route for all middle East countries to reach sea. They will prefer to go via Iran instead of Afghanistan than pakistan under OBOR

Wheat still didnt reach kabul? Business is all bout quality, price and fast delivery. Where is the consignment right now at chanahar port or in way to chabahr port or in afghanistan? Any track.

as I said no matter how much you develop Gwadar and Chabahar the potential to trade with central Asia and Afghanistan and Russia and east Europe by this route is still more and there is no need to be childish about it.

but sadly there is one small problem to achieve the full potential of these routes and that's land transportation or more precisely rail road transportation .
Iran for it's rail road use 1435mm Standard Gauge which is used in majority of Europe , China , North Africa , North America, Australia and middle east so the rail roads can easily connect to each other .
but here USSR and India and Pakistan and Afghanistan made a big mess .
Countries who were previously part of USSR and Afghanistan use a 1520mm wide gauge and India and Pakistan use even a 1656mm wider Gauge that make it impossible to connect those rail roads to the rest of the world

well as far as I'm aware Pakistan government in 2006 promised to build a Standard 1435mm wide rail road to Iran but it seems that the project priority is very low for them.

How Chabahar route expense is thrice of Gwadar route while by looking at these maps you can see that Chbahar has its railroad but Gwadar don't have such luxuries .

I dont know why India is becoming a part of anti-CPEC camp. Rather India may become easily the part of CPEC. Even I support Indian access to Afghanistan via Pakistan. There is no harm in it. Its all ego problems.
When something is fruitful for the people of South-east Asia, why India wants to stop it? Seriously some European countries and USA are trying their level best to sabotage this project, because its against their interests. While India may use it for her benefit. So India, join our team. Dont play for the interests of non-regional powers.

If they will create problem in CPEC we can easily busted this Chahbar type nana muna port who has no relevence and projection in the region except supporting Indians particular because even Iran has no advantage of this port lol.

Either you are stupid/unaware or simply a die hard Pakistani Patriot (which I really appreciate). More than anyone else it is Iran and Afghanistan who is gonna benefit for it. Firstly Iran is gonna earn some good money in the name transshipment and levy for overland transportation (Exactly the same Pakistan is expecting from CPEC). And India will help Iran in building a deep-sea port in Iran, since Chabahar is having natural depth for the purpose which their main seaport Bandar Abbas doesn't have. :)

It's like a pressure tactic to make LOC the border. And prevent China from objecting to projects in AP. So, next time when the Chinese voice their opinion about constructions in AP. We can show them GB and CPEC.

If someone can tell us the real advantages of the projects? If they are reviving ancient trade route fine, India don't want Chinese exim bank loans (strategic reasons). OBOR doesn't hinder Chinese investment in India (which keeps increasing).

OBOR doesn't create any exclusive path. (If any country makes a rail project as part of CPEC, the non members of OBOR can use the same route).

The grey areas are one of the reasons India didn't take part in the BRI summit.

We will see the advantages, watch them before signing the papers. There is no time frame to join OBOR. May be in the future, India might join in.

India's opposition to BRI is less to do with Pakistan, and more to do with China. India will welcome if Pakistan gives India the route to AF and Central Asia. If trade flows ,disputes can be solved because of growing common interests. The whole point of India developing Chahbhar is because Pakistan is intransigent in allowing Indian trade through its territory.

For Example, India gave Pakistan MFN status years back in 1996, even after multiple assurances and even giving a date, Pakistan simply backed-out. It's an obligation that Pakistan as a signatory of GATT Treaty and a member of WTO have to fulfill. Yet you people choose to play petty politics over it. :(

Again Pakistan is the one who is blocking overland transit of Indian trucks, even after you can easily levy a good duty from them and have the option to check them at multiple check points to secure your security. Still Pakistan will never do that as well.

Now tell me seriously, why do you think India is the spoiler and expect India to join your CPEC so that Pakistan may gain something from it ??? It doesn't work that way my friend. :p:

If this doesn't work like this, then it will continue to work as it is doing now.
Major problem between Pakistan and India is of trust. We don't trust each other. The in result approximately 200 million people bear the consequences.
