A) Till 1192 CE (atleast) it was Prithvi Raj Chauhan who ruled Delhi...So first lets decrease 192 from the so called 1000 Years...

B) From 1707 till 1857 it was Maratha empire and Sikh Empire who ruled the major part of India...So you should decrease another 150 Years from your So called ""1000"" Years...[/B]

B) And Since 1947 India is a Independent country... another 53 years..

I think India has played U.S. brilliantly! Russians at this point could care less on what is India's diplomatic orientation as long as they are getting paid. But, U.S. obviously cares and has invested a lot in bringing India to its corner, remember, natural allies?
Question is for how long? In this multi polar world now nonaligned movement doesn't exist so India's constituency isn't there when they have played tango with the U.S.. Though, one cannot play tough either as I said Russia doesn't really care which way India goes as long as it remains a customer. China wants the status quo pretty much as the two countries do brisk trade and China doesn't really want a partnership with India either for multiple reasons but also because it doesn't see i
