Sure.. We have had multiple Muslim Presidents..

but you obviously, decided to side step the question about if a sikh or a hindu can be a PM or President in Pakistan .. ;)

They can't it's written down in their constitution.

Only a Muslim could be qualified for election as President (male or female) and Prime Minister (male or female). No restriction as to religion or gender on any other post, up to and including provincial governor and Chief Minister.

I honestly see no reason for them not to have their own marriage act. The Sikhs are great people with a rich history and have different customs. Maybe the government thinks it will fuel separatism but sadly its just getting the common guy angry.

Never knew Sikhs Did not have a separate marriage act, why dont the govt give it, well Muslims, Christians, Parsis and Jews have it in India... Lets see, they have moved to the supreme court of India.

pakistan doesn't claim to be secular
.
.
thats the problem , when a country which dont have a secqular structur impliment a religion base law for religional minority and flawent it as an achivement to a secular country what it expects....
1.- it may create a hassel and problem in secular country.
2.- or it tries to oppress its crimes against ethinical minority and their religion.

yes because more than 98 percent population of Pakistan is Muslim unlike India where there is a mixture and also we don't claim to be a secular state and its Islamic republic of Pakistan :)

Secular does not mean open, secular mean people frame the govt , Every religion is open to have a voice and get what they want. When a nations Prime minister is a Sikh , a vice president a Muslim , president a Hindu, defense minister a Christian , we dont need to claim that we are secular.
It is the right of every citizen of India to voice out there concerns.

you are talking about democracy not secularism :P so India dont claim to be a secular? haha

Secular mean religion has no role in government decision making and in formation of laws of state then there is no Hindu, no Muslim and no Sikhs and their belief is restricted to their private life

According to Indian constitution Hindu is someone who follows [Vedic religion, Sikhism, Buddhism or Jainism.] Because the word 'Hindu' or 'Hinduism' are referring to Sindhu river and are recently coined terms. So people following religions that originated on east side of Sindhu [India] are all Hindus!

I am not into democracy but a secular democracy... There are democracies in the world which is framed based on religion too.

You are wrong, in a secular country the most important thing is to make a separate yet equal law for every religion to get the same wight in the society making them unrealized the fact that they are minorities. If every one gets to go with the same law then its obvious that the majorities have an upper hand.

it is 98% because you never wanted people of any another religion to reside in your country , never wanted pakistan to be a secular or multicultural nation , during partition majority of the sikhs and hindus living in pakistan were either killed or sent back to india........................

I am not wrong. I am saying the same thing secular mean absence of religion in politics or in decision making and then laws will be secular(equal for everyone irrespective of their religion) and any one can lead the country..then you should not say that oh we have hindu prime minsiter or muslim president because in secular state their religion has nothing to do with how they run the country..

hahahah so true..we don't want Hindu in our country although they can join pakistani forums lol :D

Rana bhagwan das is hindu but was chief justice of Pakistan..danish kaneria was Hindu but was part of Pakistani national cricket team...yes we also kill all sikhs who visit in our country to fulfill their religious obligation..ask them :P
