It is imperative however that we identify now some of the products which we could call as our own. Some of them that could find a place in our registry are dogs from Sarail in Brahmanbaria.
Can dogs be registered and patented under the Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement? :woot:

Well, I'll be damned!!! :pop:

Bangladesh originated form india...so logically all the products mentioned originated from india :D

It is the other way around. First of all there were no India before 15th August, 1947. It is India which was originated from Pakistan after Pakistan was formed on 14th August, 1947.

....Its our fault to claim what is actually ours, but its Indians success regardless of cheating or hypocrisy. I would like to hear that indians also claim The " Bostami" turtle, an Endemic creature exclusively from BD to call their own too.

On Fazli Mangoes only..

KOLKATA: Malda mangoes from West Bengal are now sharing shelf space along with the more well-known varieties of Alphonso or Kesar in London stores.

West Bengal produces some 2.5 lakh tonnes of mangoes a year and has been exporting some varieties like Ranipasand, Himsagar, Langra, Kishenbhog and Gulabkhas to Asian countries. But lack of infrastructure prevented Malda mangoes from entering stores in Europe.

Malda mangoes for Olympics - Chandrashekhar Bhattacharjee - The Sunday Indian

It is not just Indian wines which will be served in restaurants at the Olympic Village in London this summer. The ‘king of fruits’, Indian mango, will be part of the Olympic menu designed to enchant global sports persons and connoisseurs alike. Internationally famous mangoes from West Bengal's Malda district, an important element of the Indian fruit basket, is also going to be on offer at London restaurants during the games. Also likely to be included are lychees from Bengal and Bihar.

A city-based exporter has taken the initiative to export various varieties of mango from Malda, a source in the state Horticultural Department confided, without disclosing the name of the exporter and the quantity to be send out.

According to the source, the “Fazli variety from Malda was exported to London last year. It has a steady demand in London, especially among the Bengali community, both from India and Bangladesh.''

This is a link to a paper by NABARD on the Economics Of Mango farming .

Type the word Fazli in the find slot and see how many places the word Fazli comes..

Wasnt all this known to the stalwarts in Dhaka ? If not then the Govt is sleeping. India has been sharing this info & putting it in public domain for years.

For The First 2 or 3 Years After Independence Pakistan Celebrated its Independence on 15th August . Then They Changed it for Ego boost .

Here is Pakistan PID Release for Independence Series 1948 .

Pakistan_PID_Release_for_Independence_Series_1948.jpg

Although the power of transfer took place on the midnight of 14 and 15 August, the Indian Independence Act 1947 recognized 15 August as the birthday of both Pakistan and India. The act states

"As from the fifteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, two independent Dominions shall be set up in India, to be known respectively as India and Pakistan."

Jinnah in his first broadcast to the nation stated;

"August 15 is the birthday of the independent and sovereign state of Pakistan. It marks the fulfillment of the destiny of the Muslim nation which made great sacrifices in the past few years to have its homeland."

I hope This Will put your Pseudo Moronic theory to Rest .

Bangladesh govt and concerned authoritis must protest the matter to the international authority of India stealing our cultural heritage. Neither of Jamdani, Nakshi Kantha or Fazli Aam bears Indian cultural heritage. This Indian action is worse than the Britishers cutting off our weavers' fingers to stop producing Maslins and fabrics like Jamdani. BD must get back its original position by taking away the heritage that India has so fondly stolen from us.

And hence the thread is derailed as discussion will move on to definition of India.

Let me be more informative and hope you all get it.

Most of the remedies are written in our Hindu Scriptures, scriptures which were written in "present" India.

Ask any westerner where does Yoga come, they will say India, which essentially means present day India. Ayurveda totally belongs to Hindus and those who live in present day India.

If you guys have any problem, go challenge us. Who is stopping you ? We have our influence and we will use it.

once every year the Pakistanis also complain about India having GI on Basmati rice, which has huge market in US UK AND middle east.

Not very long ago,US had taken patent on various products of Neem and Turmeric.India had lodged a case and won it back.

You people should not be acting like crybabies now.Under TRIPS agreement, after a request is filed for GI of a particular item, all concerned parties are to be notified by publishing the application in Geographical Indication Journal.Only if objection is raised against it after sufficient period of time, the application is further processed.Just like taking patent, the application can be challenged by anybody.Only after doing a very thorough check, confirming that the product is native of a particular region,a GI is awarded.

So,its not like your country was totally unaware of this fact, and India did something secretly. Now please dont blame India for your own laziness, incompetency, whatever. We will do,what suits us,what is best for us.I suggest you should do the same.

All these products originated in West Bengal, as usual Bangladeshis trying to bask in our glory.

Do they teach you this version of history in schools of your country. Here is Indian schools, they teach both the countries were created by partitioning the British dominion.

And what was the India Independence Act? Have you read it before bleating out your concoctions? Have you read the clear description of India being given independence as India, except for the parts set aside as Pakistan? It is there in black-and-white.

Health Warning: the Act is in logical and rational English. Unwary trolls may get seized up.
