India ranks abysmal 87 of 144 nations in gender equality

China is not the leader in the field of gender equality, similar to other East Asian countries.(such as, Japan, Korea)

It is meaningless to have a debate on which country is worse, after all, the gap is not large.

In general, South&East Asian countries are low-ranking in Gender equality, which deserve the word "abysmal".And I didnt have any ill will, TOI gave the title and I didnt change it.



In terms of political empowerment of women, China ranked very low and lost to India. :/
And due to recent unreasonable policy, women are becoming less and less competitive in job market, which cause decline in proportion of women in the workplace.
Some years ago, China ranked 60+ in gender equality with highest proportion of women in the workplace..But now that's another story.

What is the unreasonable policy that you are talking about?

Where women cannot drive, and women don't hold political positions, and cannot vote.
