that is past,and yes we would love to forget the dark past.........but alas who knows,if bjp comes to power,india may return to the dark ages, by their communal politics........india in the last few years has improved a lot as a sovereign,democratic,secular republic,and god permitting we will continue to do so..............thnx

I am not from the India Shining generation. I am from the "India toiling" generation. We have neither forgotten the emergency nor are we trying to hide it.

We have learnt relevant lessons from it & as you may have noticed.. it hasn't happened again !

western perception is that in india although abject poverty exists and i,m certain millions of people are abused and mistreated india is stil nevertheless a land of freedom of speech and progress for many.

China despites its huge success econmically is looked upon as a CLOSED SOCEITY with the state watching over you.

Pakistan has clearly struggled with democratic institutions quite simply they are struggling to release the influence of its Army/secret service.

What you care for or do not care for is of no consquence.

Assuming for a hypothetical moment that India did the things alleged, the larger Q is why is Pak creating situations for things like those alleged to happen ? What is it doing to prevent re occurance ?

The situation in Pak today is dangerously close to March 71.

Pak will live on.. but how & in what shape ? It is already virtually un recognisable from what Jinnah made / created.
