@Indian friends.....This is ridiculous part of GOI that they changed the deal in last moment....I agree the frustration and anguish of BD gov perspective. After taking so much of pain of facilitating India,in their internal politics, this was not expected out of the GOI....Again as usual Congress style of messing up of the foreign relationship....And the funny part is CM of GOV is above all of national intrest???? Idiotic and stupid reason of CM of WB and its corresponding handling by Congress Gov.... This visit by PM to BD is a complete failure....

Are you aware that notwithstanding the Teesta water inflow Calcutta Port is as good as gone?

Even the Haldia port has become unsustainable.

What make you feel that we have to get overawed with your internal issues?

Now if you don't have water, how does it affect us, more so when you have no plans for water management and squander and waste whatever you get?

China claims the dams are for hydroelectric purpose only and won't hold water on any long-term basis. Indian government confirmed that there would be no environmental consequences of this project.

But then again, it's okay, don't worry about us. We'll survive.

Teesta is an important issue with BD.

That they have equated with Transit through BD is but natural and one cannot grudge that of them.

Very poor handling of the issue by India wherein without consultation the GoI gave a fillip to the hype.

I do not understanding the thing. Why are we equalizing Tista deal with Transit deal? According to India and AL, transit deal has its own merit. They mean if Indian vehicles cross BD land then we will be paid accordingly and will get huge money that may make us Singapore.

We should not swap these two deals for each other. Transit issue is completely different to me and not complementary of Tista deal. If India gives well money we will consider then.

Something is fishy, Indian vehicles may pay less money by showing Tista Water. But we have our right to get our water free, cos it is river water.

IMO...Its a fair call by the foreign ministry, something sensible.

Teesta deal has been long due and it is a vital one for BD. If that did not take place, i would say its proportionately fine to not finalize the transit deal currently.

I personally hope it would be signed soon.
