What's new

India plans to build 100 warships

thats y china is surrounding India by having strategic relations with all neighboring countries and enemies........

come on,we even try to have strategic relations with japan and US....we try to have strategic relations with every country....sensitive indian.....

.
so now india wants to fight it out in the high sea!well centuries might have changed but nations thinking hasn't!!!

going back to PRE WORLD WAR 1 days...the master of the high seas were the BRITISH!! then came the new kid on the block the GERMANS.....and everyone knows the juggernauts war that started between the British royal navy & the German fleet.....

so the showdown will happen again this time amongst the Chinese and the Indians.....

the problem is that bangladesh might succumb and accept the indian dominiation so might burma and other countries HOWEVER, Pakistan will be the Achilles heel of the INDIANS

incase of a war with China the Indians would need to knock pakistan out quick and fast...damn the scenerio seems perfect for WW3!!

Hope, you are not seeking a 3rd WW. Whatever India is planning for its navy during the next deacade is large and impressive. But, this is also meant for replacement of some of its obsolete arsenals.

However, this new program has one very strong point. That is India will build many new war ships in its own shipyards. It means if the Indians can keep the quality of workmanship at par with builders of other countries, the decade after next will see a more production of these ships.

It is preposterous to say that Burma will succumb to Indian pressure. Thhis country is China's only direct outlet to the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh is quite dependent upon Chinese arms that also include corvettes, patrol crafts and frigates. BD navy has also another program to procure 4 units of submarines, but from sources other than China.

BD military is at least 25 times stronger than what it was before 1971, when the GoP wanted to use it as a bait in a war against India. Our airforce is weak, but after our navy is built we will also strengthen our AF. Surely, BD cannot compete unilaterally against India with a far weaker force, however, if a war starts it will certainly spread to the land, where BD can use its geopolitically important location to fight against India. I do not think, BD will succumb to Indian onslaught so easily.

India cannot just go and try to take over BD and Burma unless there is a 3rd WW. Rather, it may start the 3rd WW. Whichever political Party is in power in BD, it will have to side with China. A civilian govt that goes against this will certainly be deposed by the military, and die-hard supporters of a certain political party will be summarily executed, so as to stop them from working for Indian interest.

India is increasing its naval strength because it wants to neutralize Chinese presence in the BoB. Burma is giving China a kind of facilitiy there, and BD is waiting for a Chinese assistance to build a multi-purpose deep-sea port in the Bay. This has panicked India to start adding new ships in its naval arsenal. However, with BD sided with China, the BoB will remain off-limit to Indian navy.

.
No, its not impressive, a moderate strong navy with highly sophisticated reliable systems is what is called impressive with highly trained men at work. with 30 more ship is believable figure.

India will never neutralize China, the different systems-weapons and equipment from all air, land and sea that China has developed and developing is ever expanding. So if india is going to keep 20 china will have 60 and this is how a life cycle will run.

Is this a joke? Have you not heard of Andaman Nicobar Islands? If India and Bangladesh do end up on the opposing sides, Bay of Bengal is as good as a lake for Bangladesh Navy. Enough war mongering for today.

.
Just imagine Chinese warships along with bangladeshi warships and a few squadrons of Chinese PLAF/PLANF based in on the Bangladeshi side, are you so confident you'll make lake out of bay of bengal? That was pure nonsense out of you..

China are better in terms of no of warships but China cant match India in Indian ocean they cant put their main weapons in Bay of Bangal because they have lot of fronts to fight for (Japan, Taiwan, USA, Russia)

They are king of their own jungle but not in Indian Ocean its our area and we dominate their

I don't think there will be any Chinese warships in Bay of Bengal as we will not:guns: allow them to get past the Malacca Strait.

THen Who is?

US Navy.

But then in an imaginary war against the Bangladeshi/Chinese the USN will remain neutral or be a silent supporter on our side.

As for the BD/Pakistanis wet dreaming about India's defeat in the BoB go sleep with the fact that we will remain the king of BoB.

And to come into BoB the Chinese have to cross a natural barrier called the Malacca Strait with IN sitting in full force in the Andamans.

If you look at the map of Indian ocean carefully you realize how much blessed is India by geography. To reach Indian ocean even a mighty navy has to stretch it resource lines. This is the reason I beleive it is essential for China in pursuing string of pearls to get ports for its navy. Now with the modernization the IN is going through they can very easily exert dominace in this area. coz we have key strategic ports which allows the navy to operate with full support of back up. You look all around Indian ocean and you cannot see any other navy challenging India
