India plans 10 hydro plants to utilize water treaty with Pak

Ok lagay rahaoo

Being made "oloo" for four decades

Elites like me, JKT, army generals, zardari and sharif just enjoy pakistan because its poor and stupid..

Meanwhile experts who look at our irrigation system scream" WTF this is even ancient then eygptian civilization".. And they dont mean a compliment

And do what? Attack india?
What reaction could have pakistan made?
Nobody listens to the poor..that is true for poor nations too

Nope we need some water to be dumped or it will kill indus ocean ecology

I am talking about 50% water wasted during irrigatiom system, flood irrigation and lack of dams for extereme flood systems

India cant make an excuse to use our water on pretex we are releasing some in indus
u should mind the country u live in. Where yr stakes r.

Yes sir

You should also mind where u live in..that is punjab..you dont have stakes in rest of country

You dont live in KPK like i do

Neither have you cleaned wonds of drons victims like i did

So dont talk about kpk

I dont want my country which is an agricultural country go barren and instinct. This is my stake in it. As u living in US wont be effected by this nor yr family. But me and my family will.

When india builds these dams, and use it was a leverage, against CPEC and then in case of floods and war as this article says, then it is our business.

Because, like i said, my stakes r in Pak as i live here. As for drone strikes, Why dont u ask that from the army itself or airforce who never shot them down.

Because i as a Kashmiri have guts and ghairat enough to make Bajwa held accountable for his inaction for August 5 2019 Kashmir annexation by india since our rivers flow from there if not anything else.

If it’s part of the treaty then it’s been signed and we agreed to it that’s all.
The day they revisit or it or try to change it is the day their nation becomes the world’s greatest desert.
A few years back the Hindutva clowns were serious about it, this was during Modi's first term if you remember the 'blood and water can't go together' speech. They began feasibility studies. After their own geological teams said it wasn’t possible the Chinese response came through the back channels that any reduction of Pakistan's supply will mean immediate action on not just the Brahmaputra, but the Sultaj (India's breadbasket Punjab) and even worse still the Ganges with the tributaries Ghagara, Koshi and to a lesser extent the Gandak.
They immediately stopped and the story was carried by a number of the main Indian daily papers.
India is now more reliant on meltwater and transboundary rivers from China due to irregular monsoon rains. The rainfall decline from the monsoons has been significant in Northern and Central India due to climate change. Experts at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology actually highlighted this as a major concern now.

Please check this thread out, and my posts of 52 and 67 the last time a few of the Indian posters said they would turn off Pakistan's taps and 'revisit' the treaty;

it is very wrong and inhumane to deprive a downstream country of water, even if its within a Treaty. Natural and God made flow and path of rivers should be respected.

Agreed totally.

Instead, India should focus on rainwater harvesting during monsoons. Lot of monsoon water is lost due to evaporation and run off.

In Middle East during the 1st millennium BC, they created Qanat systems, for better groundwater management. using primitive technology. We can create artificial Aquifers in mountains and hills using technology like TBM(tunnel boring machines), we don't even have to use pumps to take out this water, as they are at higher potential energy.

Lots of potential monsoon is wasted at Western ghats in India. lot of the water just drains off to Arabian sea. This water can be stored in artificial mountain tunnels, with inlets at windward side of mountains, also acting as aquifers. Then we can tunnel and give a outlet to these reservoirs on the leeward side of mountain. A lot of dry Semi-Arid lands will get irrigated. Also we can put turbine in these mountain tunnel outlet to generate electricity.

Additionally, we can use cloud seeding balloons on mountain tops to extract more water from monsoons, we can use part of the electricity from turbines for this.

Scientists are zapping clouds with electricity to make rain

@jamahir What do you think ?

The Iran vid was very nice. I will associate this vid with two things from the Dune books : Qanat and the idea that those digging the Qanats will not live to see the fruits of their effort but the next generations. But I was saddened to know that the diggers lose their sight by being underground for long in the somewhat dark. Iran had this system 3000 years ago and the dolt Aryans who came into India from Iran did not bring this to India. They must have been too primitive to to learn the techniques.

I really like your idea for the Western ghats but we don't need to produce electricity from it because there is research going on to develop micro generators of electricity that use the kinetic energy of the omnipresent and never-ending cosmic particles, neutrinos, to set atomic oscillations in a structure composed of nanometric graphene and silicon layers and use electrodes to pick up small amounts of electricity generated by piezo-electric effect and combine a set of such structures along with a rechargeable battery to have a self-charging battery system that will never run out of electricity until the oscillating structures fail physically. This device is proposed to power any common modern electric and electronic device from a wearable computer to an aircraft ( the last when the generating devices are arranged in groups to get higher power ) to heart pacemaker to induction stove to spacecraft. This will be the ultimate form of electricity generation. In fact if used on Earth it can supposedly oscillate for other forms of cosmic and human-made radition too like phone signals. The German organization Neutrino Energy Group is leading this effort and organizations from other countries like Russia and India are participating with it. The Indian side is the institution called C-MET under the IT ministry. One project in motion is Car Pi :
BERLIN, Oct. 14, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- One of todays most ambitious projects is getting underway: a new partnership between India and Germany is paving the way for the electric car "Car Pi", which will get its energy from the environment rather than from a charging station, making it completely independent of "dishonest" electricity generated by the combustion of fossil fuels.

The announcement comes from the International Conference on Multifunctional Electronic Materials and Processing (MEMP 2021) in India. Dr. Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar, a computer scientist and the Rector of India's Nalanda University, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC). Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar is the developer of the PARAM supercomputer and the founder of India's state-run High Performance Computing program.

The pact establishes a new cooperation between India's C-MET Science Centre and the Neutrino Energy Group, one of the world's top electronic materials research and development institutes. This Berlin-based, German-American business has created a device that converts ambient energy into electrical current using an innovative graphene-based composite material. "This new, unique smart partnership has the potential to put in motion revolutionary processes in the fields of energy generation and automotive technology," says Neutrino Energy Group CEO Holger Thorsten Schubart.

The pact was signed under the auspices of the Indian government and other partners by C-MET, a Pune-based materials center for electronic technologies that is part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and, therefore, the Indian government. It paves the way for the Car Pi to be developed by merging financial and intellectual resources.

The collaboration will focus on materials science, electronic materials, 2D materials, the production of quantum dots, and the development of applied devices. The project's implementation budget has been estimated at $2.5 billion USD.

The Car-Pi electric car, which does not require power from charging stations, is intended to be the product of the collaboration. Autonomous power sources integrated within the body of the electric vehicle will collect energy from the environment and generate propulsion. This method will also be utilized to charge the compact battery pack that is used to cover peak loads. This novel method has the potential to alleviate electric mobility constraints such as long charging periods or the need to ramp up conventional power generation to fulfill the demand for electric vehicles, all while reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

Shri Sanjay Dhotre, India's Minister of State for Education, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, said at MEMP 2021 that the alliance will "certainly have the broadest support of the Government of India."

Dr. Bharat Bhanudas Kale, co-founder and director of the Centre for Materials for Electronic Technology (C-MET) and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in London, is also part of the team and sees the signing of the partnership memorandum and the start of the collaboration as particularly significant for the global community in the field of energy and materials. In this domain, the scientist is one of the world's leading specialists.

"Despite the fact that the technology has been verified and tested in lab settings, there is still a long way to go before the first Car Pi hits the road." Holger Thorsten Schubart notes that the development of the self-charging Car Pi necessitates additional study into power generating dependability under various situations, as well as safety and a variety of other factors. According to him, the design and demonstration facility in Frankfurt will be an important component of the project.

"We are delighted to begin this adventure with C-MET, which is known for its globally recognized expertise - the Neutrino Energy Group has been seeking a qualified partner to manage such a huge and complicated project for a long time," stated Holger Thorsten Schubart. "As wonderful and audacious as it may sound, building a self-charging electric car is unquestionably a new milestone in the history of automotive engineering and in particular electric mobility."
So we can excuse the part of electricity generation in your proposal but keep the rest of it. Very good idea you made. Modern adaptation of a good traditional idea.

NEW DELHI : India is working on building 10 hydropower projects totalling 6.8 gigawatts (GW) in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh to fully utilize its share of waters under the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan.
The projects being undertaken at an investment of ₹68,000 crore by state-run NHPC Ltd are part of India’s plan to exercise its rights to stop excess water from flowing into Pakistan.

These projects assume strategic importance against the backdrop of China developing the controversial China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, given that control over river water flow acts as a force multiplier during times of aggression.
India has adopted a similar approach on its eastern borders and plans to construct the country’s second-largest dam at Yingkiong in Arunachal Pradesh to counter China’s ambitious scheme to divert water from the river that feeds downstream into the Brahmaputra.
The projects being constructed by the public sector undertaking are the 1,000 MW Pakal Dul project, 850 MW Ratle project, 624 MW Kiru project and 540 MW Kwar project, all in Jammu and Kashmir, according to NHPC chairman and managing director Abhay Kumar Singh.
In addition, India’s largest power generation firm also plans to build 1,856 MW Sawalkot (J&K), 930 MW Kirthai-II (J&K), 500 MW Dugar (HP), 240 MW Uri-I Stage-II (J&K), and 260 MW Dulhasti Stage-II (J&K).

Mint earlier reported about the union government’s plan to expedite strategically important hydropower projects in J&K after the reorganization of the terror-hit state into two Union territories – Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. India is also working on a plan to divert the waters of Ujh, which is one of the main tributaries of the Ravi that flows into Pakistan.

“Pakistan keeps on objecting, but we have the Indus Waters Treaty. On the basis of the Indus Waters Treaty, we developed Kishanganga, Uri and others and on the basis of that treaty, we are developing these projects," Singh said.

According to the Indus Waters Treaty, whoever builds a project first will have the first rights on the river waters. The treaty sets out a mechanism for cooperation and information exchange between the two countries regarding their use of six rivers—Beas, Ravi, Sutlej, Indus, Chenab and Jhelum.

The move comes four years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated NHPC Ltd’s Kishanganga hydropower project to the nation. The 330 MW project on the river Kishanganga, a tributary of the Jhelum, has significant strategic importance. Pakistan had challenged the project under the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960, but the International Court of Arbitration at The Hague ruled in India’s favour in 2013. Apart from Kishanganga, Pakistan had also raised objections to the Pakal Dul and Lower Kalnai hydroelectric projects on the Chenab.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs last month cleared the construction of the 540MW Kwar project by Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between NHPC Ltd and Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corp. Ltd.

“The construction activities of the project will result in direct and indirect employment to around 2500 people and will contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the Union Territory of J&K. Further, UT of J&K will be benefitted with free power of around ₹4,548.59 crore and ₹4,941.46 crore with Water Usage Charges from Kwar Hydro Electric Project, during the project life cycle of 40 years," the power ministry said in a 27 April statement post the CCEA’s approval.

This could be considered an act of war. Pakistan will view this a serious escalation if the implementation starts.

 sweet heart, i HAVE AS I LIVE HERE! unlike u who dont even live here. And im sure yr family is also there with u.

Main aik Shaheed ka dost hun, or aik army officer ka beta bhi hun. Main jiss mulk main paida hua hun yahe marru ga bhi.

As i have stakes here. BTW tum log b innhi Punjabio ko bura samajhty ho, Ye na bhula karo k innhi punjabio ki ugai hue gandam sy apne ghar rootian pakaty ho.

Or ye gandam innhe rivers k paani sy he kasht ki jaati ha. If what india plans to do, do materialize then hum sab k saath tum log bhi bhooky pyasy maaro gy. Or na he tum pathano k gharon main plao b kabhi banny ga q k ye chawal bhi wahe sy aata ha or innhi daryaon ka pani usski kasht main b istimaal hota ha!

Abb baat samajh aaye? Like i said, STAKES! Stakes r too high for us who r living here. NOT FOR U WHO DONT EVEN LIVE HERE!

Although @ziaulislam is right, what you posted here is the absolute truth. Inna saraya di panchod bund saar di pubjabi’a toh. Jiton kanna utay hagna namak haram.

Btw this isn’t reserved for pathans, baluch, Urdu speakers and northern Pakistanis either. It applies to city Punjabis as well that call us villagers ‘paindus’.

Indian state of Kashmir has right to the three "Pakistani" rivers for local use

There are political elements in Pakistan who have business and political interests with India and India has become US strategic ally.
Then there is massive political instability in Pakistan and India taking massive advantage of the situation and building dams after dams in Kashmir and punjab, activel taking steps to totally change kashmir demographic and in its own mind this situation is irrevocable.
Whenever Pakistan comeout of this dark hole and its lost decades, there shall be war with India as dams cannot be unbuilt and demographics cannot be reversed through any measure of talks.
Subcontinent as we know shall change forever.
