India Pays Baitullah Mehsud To Attack Pakistan’s Nuclear Sites, Plan Deployed

Actually it is difficult to understand who has to gain from releasing such a story.

India won't gain because even if it were entirely true (which I am sure it is not), it still is stupid to leak plans ahead of success.

Pakistan does not gain because even a perception that their sites may be attacked would only add to panic internally and internationally.

I am guessing the only people to benefit from such a story is people who are writing such stories and get page views.

The attack will only harm Pakistan and no one else. UN sanctions will be easy to put on Pakistan in case of even a failed attack.

We all know that these rag tag militants can not damage the nuclear sites but even if they just attack and enter any facility that would bring a bad name to Pakistan and will alert the world about its nuclear weapons' safety. And that is the only purpose of any such attack.

The plan indeed is not leaked by the preparators but it was spoted by the intellegence. Specialy when the militants have already done the survey of one of the nuke sites for this attack.

But if the plan was real and the story true, why would the intelligence agencies take the story to the press ? Would it not be beneficial for them to just shoot the militants and keep the story secret ?

Because just leaking the story actually increases the threat perception, doesn't it ? Now everyone who read the story is worried about the Nukes, not just the intelligence agencies. And obviously the average Pakistani does not know where the Nukes are hidden and there is no reason to inform him that "The Nukes, which is hidden from you, is under threat".

The only reason why an intelligence agent would take such a story to press is if he thought that there was a continued threat to Nukes and that leaking a story now would help later on if the Nukes were really attacked. That would be a "Cover your A**" maneuver.

But considering that this came from a blog and that Ahmed Quraishi's source of info is stuff like answers.yahoo.com, I really doubt that any intelligence agent leaked the story.

somedays back i heared from a very credible source that Indians are training almost 500 men in Afghanistan . A small nuclear warhead will be detonated in Afghanistan by the Indian agencies and then all the balme will be put on Pakistan that it provided the terrorists with nuclear wepons providing US and Nato a point upon which Pakistani Nuclear sites could be attacked or some how neutralized.

The intellegence did not take it to the press. Rather it is otherway round.

Even there is information about the particular site but the concerned media persons did not leak it out because it could have compromised the security measures to counter the attack of militants.

Now its up to you to believe or not but atleast Pakistani security outfits should take lead from the news and should take all measures to avert any such attack as it is in favour of Pakistan to counter any such attempt by terrorists.

I also heard that Pakistani agencies are training more terrorists to attack India. The next attack will come from air, last one was from sea. GOP will will say they are non state actors, if proven attackers were from Pakistan.

a very credible source (zardari) said me that Bilawal was handling pak nukes & Rahul was handling India's Nukes :cheesy:
come on guys, you've been talking nukes as if they are sold in malls...
these days even a person like obama is caught peeking at woman's butt...
what makes you think Indian or Pakistani authorities planning such an misadventure get away??

guys guys, you have half information. let me give you full information.
150 special trained men constitutes 2 nuclear scientist abdul basheer and kabir khan and high explosive experts and plasma tech experts. they all will be sent to pak occupied kashmir and then from there, they will scatter circularly around glora uranium enrichment facility. plan is really stealthy and another 200 men company will attack kahuta reactor at the same time as a diversion. as soon as the news will reach islamabad golra facility will be attacked with most sophisticated small weapons available on earth[courtesy to Israel ]. detonation of c4 in perimeter will be done and probably one or 2 locked nukes will be stolen to show on al-zazira.as every body can imagine what effect is going to be created on world.
tayyiar rahna, fir mat kahana ki bataya nahin tha:rofl:

wel what abt the Indian Nuclear Scientist who was killed . Does any body wants to put light on it .
come on guys, you've been talking nukes as if they are sold in malls...

Yup the concern will still remain alive and instead of hopin for the best we should prepare for the worst.

What could be the possible counter measures to resist such an attack. ?

URGENT: India Pays Baitullah Mehsud To Attack Pakistan’s Nuclear Sites, Plan Deployed, Act Of War By India

Written by Pakistan News :: Pakistan Daily

The Indians working with their allies in the Karzai government have designed a foolproof plan to attack Pakistani nuclear sites using hired terrorists. They think they can pull it off and permanently damage Pakistan’s standing internationally and hasten calls for denuclearizing Pakistan. Any attack on Pakistani nuclear sites in the coming days will be taken as a declaration of war by India and will be dealt with equal force. There should not be confusion on this.

India has paid terrorist leader Baitullah Mehsud and his well armed and trained terrorist army around U.S. $ 25 million to mount a spectacular attack on a major Pakistani nuclear site. A special force of around 500 recruits has been assembled and trained to mount the operation that is supposed to shock the world. The purpose is to create an event that will create a global media scare and convince the world of the need for military intervention in Pakistan. Another objective is to neutralize voices of reason within the U.S. government that believe Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal is secure.

The bulk of the terrorists in the special 500-strong force put together by Mehsud have been trained inside Afghanistan by trainers suspected of having links to the Indian intelligence. Although most of the recruits are expected to be Pakistanis from Mehsud’s tribe, an unknown number of Afghan and Indian elements with special operations training have been inserted in the Mehsud group in order to ensure the success of this high profile operation.

It is not clear when this plan was conceived and whether the 500-strong force divided into crack teams to carry out the attack(s) is ready. But Pakistani officials are taking no chances. The nation’s security setup is on high alert. As for the nuclear installations, the managers of Pakistan’s strategic arsenal maintain unrestricted universal operability to fulfill the arsenal’s role as a deterrent. For them, no day is a normal day.

But this latest disclosure of a plan to attack the nuclear sites has raised alarm bells, to say the least.

A rough sketch of the plan and how the attack(s) are expected to unfold goes as follows:

1. A team or several teams of terrorists attack one or more Pakistani nuclear sites and attempt to enter the facilities.

2. Within each crack team only a small core is supposed to be equipped with modern communications equipment, special operations gear, and modern weapons; highly trained to exact maximum damage.

3. Where possible, the terrorists plan to break in and hold the fort, a la Mumbai attacks, in order to generate maximum media coverage and embarrassment for the Pakistanis.

4. The international media, and especially the main American and British news outlets, turn this into a global crisis, comparable to the Bay of Pigs in 1962.

5. The event generates enough pressure to justify an ‘international demand’ to neutralize Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and force Pakistanis to accept ‘international’ supervision.

6. Depending on the aftermath, and after a few days or weeks, a small nuclear weapon is used somewhere, maybe against the US military or NATO bases in Afghanistan since it would be difficult to do it anywhere else, in order to confirm that the Afghan Taliban or generally the ‘Islamic extremists’ managed to steal a weapon from the earlier attack(s) on Pakistani sites.

This last point is critical. According to the available information, the mysterious disappearance of a senior Indian nuclear scientist and his subsequent death in May is linked to at least some parts of this plan. The scientist, Mr. Lokanathan Mahalingam, 47, had access to Indian’s sensitive nuclear information and worked at the prestigious Kaiga Atomic Power Station in the southern Indian state Karnataka, close to Project Seabird, a major Indian military base. His disappearance received limited coverage in the Indian media and there was almost a blackout on the circumstances surrounding how his dead body was found in a lake. The media in the U.S. and Britain also ignored the story. It is believed that Mr. Mahalingam was either involved in or had some knowledge about the planning for securing a small nuclear weapon that would leave no fingerprints, to put it this way, in order to execute the idea in paragraph 6 above.

The Indians have been working on this scenario for some time now.

On 16 May, the Israeli security website Debka under a story titled, ‘Singh warns Obama: Pakistan is lost,’ reported the following:

“India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has told President Obama that nuclear sites in Pakistan's restive frontier province are "already partly” in the hands of Islamic extremists.”

The Times of India, reporting the story, complained about “Washington's misplaced confidence in, and [careless] approach towards, Pakistan's nuclear assets,” and grumbled that “Pakistan is ramping up its nuclear arsenal even as the rest of the world is scaling it down.”

The Indian interest is obvious. But so is the Israeli interest. It is quite revealing that the story was broken by a news outlet known in international circles for its links to the Israeli government.

Official circles in Washington, including the White House, the State Department, Pentagon and CIA are cognizant of a history of cooperation between India and Israel in security issues. India’s security establishment is largely focused on Pakistan and on controlling Kashmir where the population is fighting the Indian military. At least in one incident, during the limited Pakistan-India war in 1999, the Israelis directly intervened to help the battered Indian army overturn a tactical victory by Pakistani and Kashmiri fighters.

As recently as two days ago, Bruce Riedel, a former CIA analyst and an Obama adviser known for his strong anti-Pakistan views, wrote an article published at the Brookings Institute website that demonstrates how far the anti-Pakistan lobby is willing to go to prove that Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal is not safe.

In Mr. Riedel’s case, he went as far as lying.

He used a recent terrorist attack on a bus carrying employees of KRL, a Pakistani nuclear facility, to say that Pakistani nuclear sites are already under attack. What he conveniently ignored is that the said bus was in fact traveling through a densely populated part of the city and not anywhere near any nuclear site. The bus most probably became a target of opportunity because it carried a plate indicating it was a government vehicle.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement quoted by an Israeli source which was widely reported and never denied by the Indians, the Israelis or the Americans, was not the first to promote the alarmist and the unreal scenario of Pakistani nuclear weapons getting into the wrong hands. Mr. Singh came on record during an interview with CNN in 2005 to say this:

“I am worried about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear assets should President Pervez Musharraf be replaced, since there is always the danger of Islamic militants seizing power and taking control of the country’s nuclear assets.”

There is little question that influential parts of the Indian government are involved in exporting terrorism into Pakistan from bases inside Afghanistan. Attempts to incite ethnic unrest in Pakistan’s southwest were traced by investigators to Indians in Afghanistan. Pakistani investigators reached the same conclusion with some of the evidence found in northwest Pakistan where terrorists are killing Pakistanis. And now there are reports of an impending attack on Pakistan’s nuclear facilities using Baitullah Mehsud.

The Indians and those who are supporting them should be under no illusions. Any attack on Pakistani nuclear facilities in the coming days will be construed as a declaration of war by India against Pakistan. Knowing of Mehsud’s previous contacts with Indians and with Karzai’s people, any miscalculated attempt by his terrorists will not be seen as anything less than a direct Indian attack. In this case, Pakistan will consider itself in a state of war, and retaliate accordingly. There should not be any confusion on this. Ahmed Quraishi.

Pak nuke programme under assault

Asif Haroon Raja

Pakistan ’s nuclear program which has been built indigenously without acquiring foreign assistance has come under constant assault. Hardly a day passes when some weird and cockeyed story is not published in western print media or a statement not made by senior US officials. Purpose of the malicious campaign is to smear and bring into disrepute Pakistan by deliberately spreading disinformation campaign about the security of our nuclear assets. The theme revolves around weak safety and apprehensions are expressed that nuclear weapons could be stolen by the extremists. Doubts are created that some compromises have been or being made.

A scandalous report was published in US media alleging that Pakistan had already agreed to hand over its enriched uranium to the US . A rumor is in circulation that when Zardari went to USA with a begging bowl, so-called Friends of Pakistan Forum (FPF) was created and an offer of $100 billion was made in return for our nuclear program. Shirin Mazari has referred to her conversation with Seymour Hersh (The News dated 20 May). He informed her that compromises by our political leadership on nuclear program had already been made. This rumor was given air when Zardari announced that Pakistan will put an end to further manufacturing of nuclear weapons and assured India that Pakistan will not exercise the option of ‘first strike’. Drastic reduction in budget for SPD, which seriously impacted our nuclear and missile R&D programs and curtailed missile tests, has given grist to the rumor mill.

One of the motives of onslaught against our nuclear programme is to compel Pakistan to seek foreign assistance for its safety, thus allowing interested groups to intrude into prohibited areas and ascertain missing links they are desperately looking for. French offer is an attempt in that direction. US effort to find a berth in NCA for its official as an observer failed. The US supplied security vehicles for safe carriage of weapons, but these are not in use. Drumming up Taliban threat that they were on the verge of capturing Islamabad and nuclear weapons was part of the design to make the leadership panicky and compel it to shift stored weapons to alternative safer locations. This exercise if undertaken would allow the spy satellites of USA as well as the Indo-Israeli satellite to photograph new sites for eventual destruction through surgical strikes.

CIA Director has stated that the US doesn’t know about the location of all Pakistani nukes. The day CIA learns of 60-100 nuclear warheads, game for Pakistan will be up. It is this uncanny fear of untraced weapons that is keeping USA and India backed by Israel in check since even a single unaccounted weapon could prove costly. The US well knows that Pakistan has excellent command and control system and possibility of theft is impossible. The detractors are not worried about safety of our nuclear weapons; what cause them anxiety are the untraced locations of weapons, now quietly shifted to new underground sites. Concerted efforts are underway to trace out whereabouts of weapons so that the prepared plans to hijack them in one go can be mounted by US Special Forces. Obama has said that he could consider all options to secure nuclear weapons if the country gets less stable. France ’s special envoy to Pakistan painted a grim picture in early May of Pakistan collapsing under pressure from Islamists who could one day seize control of its nuclear weapons. He talked of rampant Talibanisation of areas close to Islamabad . It was probably this fear that Sarkozy offered cooperation to make our nuclear program safe which Zardari and his team misconstrued it as cooperation in civilian nuclear technology.

It is now being alleged that Pakistan is expanding its nuclear program and reference has been made towards a plant being built near DG Khan for commercial purposes to generate energy. Detractors fear that Pakistan may make use of plutonium deposits found in DG Khan and follow the plutonium path for development of tactical nuclear weapons and thus offset advantage gained by India . The News dated 25 May published an account of Brig retired Imtiaz. He disclosed that strenuous efforts were made by CIA from 1978 onwards to disable our nuclear program in its crib. By stroke of luck he found out about a gang of Pakistani scientists and engineers working in Kahuta and other nuclear plants working on the payroll of CIA to sabotage our nuclear sites. They were caught and sentenced and their foreign handlers deported. It indicates the frenzy of USA to denuclearize Pakistan through covert means at a time when Islamabad used to repeatedly assert that its nuclear program was not nuclear tipped but meant for peaceful purposes only. It has not given up and is still working with full zeal to achieve its mission. If the CIA had succeeded in cultivating so many well-paid and pampered scientists in 1978, what is the guarantee that it has not made a breakthrough now particularly after it was allowed unlimited freedom of action to operate in Pakistan after 2001 and still no restrictions have been imposed on it. Another disclosure has been made by Advisor to PM that Petroleum and Natural Resources Ministry has certain elements bought over by USA who are bent upon scuttling Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.

It was a pleasant change to see Foreign Office spokesman shedding away usual apologetic stance and giving a measured and terse reply to one-sided barrage of propaganda. Barbed questions were well answered. He scoffed at the sponsored themes against Pakistan terming it a failing and a fragile state and that its nuclear weapons would fall in wrong hands. Instead of indulging in unproductive lengthy explanations about Pakistan ’s nuclear program which is an eyesore for USA , India and Israel , he astutely said that it was not possible for Pakistan to remain unaware of increasing conventional asymmetries and unrelenting arms acquisition by India . He also pointed out preferential treatment accorded to certain countries (Indo-US nexus), which disturbed regional military equilibrium and forced Pakistan to adopt necessary safeguards as it deemed fit. He rounded up his resume by reminding India to resolve longstanding Kashmir issue and to abide by the provisions of 1960 Indus Water Treaty.

CJSC Gen Tariq Majid delivered a hard hitting riposte to dispel misperceptions spread by vested groups about security of nuclear weapons. He made it clear that no foreign individual, entity or state had been provided or shall ever be provided access to our sensitive information and insinuations in this regard are mischievous and should be contemptuously dismissed. He assured that security apparatus put in place prepares and practices contingencies to meet all such eventualities.. His assurance that strategic assets are jealously guarded and any attempt to undermine our core capability will be strongly resisted and defeated is comforting and has acted as a tonic for the Pakistanis.

Our leaders have all along adopted an apologetic stance and a policy of appeasement to allay their fears. No amount of our explanations has brought any change despite the fact that SPD has developed and operationalised a very effective nuclear weapons security regime which is multilayer, has stringent access controls, foolproof custodial controls and failsafe security arrangements. It is high time that we put an end to giving defensive explanations. Their hackneyed and nauseating mantras should be pooh-poohed. We should just say that apprehensions are misconceived, frivolous and absurd warranting no further comments.

The ones worried about Pakistan nuclear program should worry about their own nukes which are vulnerable to domestic threat and a far greater hazard for world peace and security. This has now been amply verified from recent bungling in US nuclear safety system and kidnapping of a senior Indian scientist along with sensitive documents and his murder and Indian record of nuclear proliferation to Iran , Iraq and Libya .

It is time Pakistan must prepare a dossier to present to international media and establishments about Indian involvement in Pakistan ’s North West creating unrest and supporting insurgencies. For the sake of its future generations Pakistan will have to play very carefully but with a vigor and honor and if Pak-US relations are hindering this in future we must have a second thought about these so-called strategic relations.

The problem here is the current regime since what ever agenda they are following, certainly isnt of Pakistan and to expect that this government would stand up is infact too farfetched. Government admits there is a foreign hand involved yet they always keep short from naming it because some one in Washington might not like it.

The highlighted part says it all.

I dont understand why topics like these are posted and then commented on as being true. At the most they should be ridiculed for the garbage they are. We look stupid enough with most of our news as it is. There is no way any country would not declare war on another if this was remotely the case. Just think logically. Even this country would have 0 options left if they thought such a plan was being setup.
