India on a Ban Spree, Government Bans Six Different Things

Apparently they are 15 as follows:

1. BBC Documentary India's Daughter. Because the government is too lazy to do anything else about the safety situation in the country. Too bad we know how to download.

2. Beef. Because gai hamari mata hai. Want to cook your mother-like animal? Blasphemous! (One butter chicken, one burrah kebab and two fish cutlets please. )

3. Movies. 50 shades of Grey, Paanch, Fire and other films that were banned in India. But accessing **** is allowed.

4. 'Lesbian' word. Because that will stop her from being one. While we are at it, ban 'wheat complexion' also. Half of India's worry solved.

5. Smoking in public places. The only ban that makes sense.

6. Homosexuality, "unnatural sex". Because if sodomy is to ever be addressed, the judiciary will have to acknowledge homosexuality in India. Vicious circle sir. Nope. Indians only do it missionary style.

7. Sex toys: Pleasure for the self? No we do not believe in it. We do believe in mass manufacture of gun-shaped pichkaris and toys for our children.

8. Marijuana. What ban? Marijuana is banned in India? But my friend bought it from a cop the other day...

9. AIB roast. Arrest him. What did I do, sir? You made people laugh.

10. Wendy Doniger's The Hindus; Salman Rushdie's The Satanic Verses and other books banned in India. Because words are like weapons. They allow a thinking mind. Dangerous. Very.

11. Communist Party of India (Maoist). Because the state wants to be an ostrich. And smart-cities will lead to the development of tribals.

12. Pornography: While accessing and possessing it is alright, manufacture and publication of X-rated content is illegal. Ok. Er.

13. Bikinis banned in Goa. Let's give them visa-on-arrival and a complimentary saree!

14. Dance bars in Mumbai. Because somehow that will stop the 'male patrons'.

15. Lingerie clad mannequins in Mumbai. Now that there are no more dance bars, mannequins were where the 'male patrons' turned to.

15 Things India Has Banned Over The Years. Ghor Kalyug.

No ban on Wendy Doniger's book, only a deal with the publisher. the Book is available (I know because I have it)

12. Pornography: While accessing and possessing it is alright, manufacture and publication of X-rated content is illegal. Ok. Er.

Neither I have added anything from my side nor was I sarcastic. There is no need to spew fascist Hindutvadi hatred in response to every post made by a Pakistani.

This is a public forum, on top of that this is a Pakistani forum and everybody has the right to speak. If we could allow apartheid radical Hindutva terrorists/apologists here, than others have as much right to speak. Now digest what I have said an move on with grace if some is left in you.

so sir you support the lifting of the ban on SATANIC VERSES by RUSHDIE????:o:

Haha --- I see some people are commenting about Certain BANs in India --- while forgeting Even YouTube was banned few days back let alone a Decent Night club in some countries

Considering that --- yes i enjoy lot of freedom in India.

Please stop insulting said think tank and answer his concerns. Thank you. Personally as a Lucknowi the first thing I believe that should be banned is wild animals on the street, especially for colonies like mine. Monkeys cows and dogs are my biggest problem and block the thin narrow streets. There is often cow dung stuck to the floor.

Governments have and continue to behave in odd ways and have not provided much for the nation but bans. The usefulness of said bans is arbitrary. It often does not achieve results of ensuring the said practice or the said film etc banned is not watched. In fact in the eyes of the people... well it makes the people want it more. So banning is never a solution but autocratic governments particularly in the middles east and not limited to south asia have often banned things to ensure the public stays away from them. However human nature states that people will watch said movie etc if they get the chance.

I will note 3 examples for Pakistan to tell you India is going down the wrong path. Ehtesaab. The song by Junoon which was banned by the government of Pakistan. It has been watched by thousands and thousands of people and united the nation against corruption.

2 Slackistan. The movie which was banned. It has been also watched by many.

3 The youtube ban is the biggest disaster in Pakistani history. More than a million have accessed the site through proxies or hot spot shield. On the other hand the ban has hurt video producers from Pakistan.

So if there is any proof, banning things makes people want them more. India is increasingly turning more and more autocratic. There is no justice for muslim members of our family we lost in said country but there are bans when someone promotes the truth.
