Very well stated you understand that now. that means India cannot not Kick China out of Sri Lanka or does it ?

Lanka simply need a big partner when they are were in war with LLTE now they are history and Lanka dnt have any thread to India (Hisotry of China and India with their small neighbors are totally different) so for economical aspect we can not do any thing and for other part Lanka is not that much stupid that and dnt want to be rivals of India just to make happy China.

What is that, break off all trade and relations with Sri Lanka? Here Indians and Chinese are apparently trying to compete for MORE investments and relations with sri lanka, not less.

Many are unaware of the contributions in terms of intelligence, Training and equipments from Indian government to wipe out LTTE from Srilanka. Owing to the tamil sentiments and its coalition pressure government may not reveal that in open. This is well known to SL leadership.

So anyone thinking of India aiding LTTE is absurd. Maybe post Rajiv assassination, things changed even worse for LTTE. LTTE sympathisers were arrested under POTA rule. Even LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran has admitted his grave error in aiding Rajiv's assassination.

Recently India did not use the offer from SL govt to build the port initially, which later taken smartly by China.

Nevertheless, India is increasing its embassies in srilanka for cultural exchanges
