What did Zia do that was a miscalculation? Given Pakistan's challenges, it's good that the Deep State is making all of the decisions . If Zia didn't act, both of India's adoptive fathers would still be in Afghanistan. Under Bhutto and then later Zia's leadership, Pakistan became a Nuclear power and I know that hurts you but he is a savior of the nation.
Our policymakers think long-term..Any major decisions that have long-lasting implications for the subcontinent and greater Asia have been done in Pakistan or have Pakistan's involvement. India is nowhere to be seen. Just posturing without any action and buying weapons without any purpose. Modi just now realized he needs to talk to the Taliban. That is a miscalculation.

lol, India is a banana democracy that was thrown together by the British. Pakistan was carved from hostile peoples by the grace of God. Facing treacherous Hindus like you on one side and unfriendly neighbors on the other side.
