No.. a large portion is from Ladakh that feeds into India. That is why Pan is desperate to get whole of JK and Kashmir valley is not enough.
While theoretically it may be possible you will still lose most of India water and incur humongous cost to reengineer and maintain. I don't think anyone considers that an option.

I am trying not to be very harsh in my comment, but even if India utilize the full quota of water as per the IWT, Pakistan state will have severe water shortages during the dry seasons. India will not leave the treaty anytime soon, but definitely try to make good use of all the means to deprive pakistan of water as much as possible ..

the efforts are already on, and there are huge investments going on to create those infrastructure. it will take another 3-5 years time, post which it be a serious challenge for Pakistani state

If Pakistan had done Uri, Pathankot and Pulwama ...... you wouldn't be whining and crying only, you would have gathered much much large international support to isolate Pakistan, but you have failed. So please refrain from that stupidity of blaming Pakistan as a habit.

The whole indian politics mostly revolves around relations with Pakistan, so its better to have someone who can make big decisions and take right steps. Congress and Modi have failed .... you need someone mature and is able and willing to talk to Pakistan.

FYI, w.r.t river Indus, Pakistan already have 60% plus of the catchment area already under your control. Just just have mere 22%. Then why so worried ????

Again if China block or divert the river (currently there are no infrastructure to do so), it will be Pakistan who is gonna affect more than anyone else in the region, it will be like shooting on own foot. LOL


In any ways, except Brahmaputra river. We won't be affected much since 90% of the catchment that feeds all other rivers flowing through India is well withing our borders or Nepal. So all the best with your river diversion tactics . I bet China will spend a few billions on this project as well. Afterwall it's all about pleasing a friend.
