India 'Maoist' bomb blast kills 15 police- March 27 2012

RIP to the brave soliders. These bloody local and central govt did not provide proper mine proof vehicles to the security forces in the naxals effected areas and sitting ideally in the meeting rooms and giving lecture to the local and national news channels.at first they need to targets these politicians then these naxals will have a great lesson by the armed forces.

So are Pakistanis all round the world.U are commenting on Naxalism, when in ur own country people are getting blown up daily..so may be u should keep that wisdom to urself...
Yes , because the topic is Naxalism ... What else would he be commenting on ? :azn: ... Derailing the threads is an art everyone must learn from you guys ... What has the situation in Pakistan got to do with it ? ... Ohh , I forgot about your terrible psychological obsession with Paskiatan ... Going by your logic , Indians should refrain from commenting on Pakistani threads because their own country is burning too unlike what they usually propagate :azn:

BTW RIP to the dead

Post Reported ...

Calm down people.

The Naxals are active in a large portion of the country because of the injustices they perceive to be done upon them, such as land grabs by the government, lack of development and opportunity, discrimination against low caste Hindus and tribals, etc.

It is not simply a military problem. India cannot simply kill all the naxals and their supporters. Illegal mining must be stopped, if people land is taken form them they must be compensated fairly, tribals must be treated with respect, etc.

Once measures like those above are taken, the military problem will become more manageable, especially once more local support is gained.

Counter insurgency is not a simple game of whack a mole people.

Calm down people.

I'd like to see you calm down if one of those CRPF men was your love one.

The Naxals are active in a large portion of the country because of the injustices they perceive to be done upon them, such as land grabs by the government, lack of development and opportunity, discrimination against low caste Hindus and tribals, etc.

The garbage that leftist vermin throw to the world to disguise their impure terrorism around and try to seize nation with a combination of force and false sense of victimization. This is not about casteism. Most of the naxal foot soldiers are lazy rears with nothing to do. They don't want to work hard and come up like other innocent farmers do and want freebies. When they are denied freebies from government under false reservations, they join Maoist scum.

Maoist leaders OTOH are no less evil than LET or AQ. And it is the Leftists that are polluting our media trying to garner support for these lunatics discreetly. The media personalities who claim to be self-appointed intellectuals are the real hand behind Communist terrorism in India.

Naxals should be put down like how chickens were put down in bird flu scare. They are as dangerous to Indian society as these dieases.

It is not simply a military problem. India cannot simply kill all the naxals and their supporters. Illegal mining must be stopped, if people land is taken form them they must be compensated fairly, tribals must be treated with respect, etc.

This is another apologetic garble that media people propagate to earn the worth of the bribe they get paid from vested political elements supporting Naxalite terrorism.

You so sure about that eh?

Give the Army and IAF 3 months 100% control and command to do whatever they have to to eradicate these vermin. There will be no inferior ideology as Communism itself in India after that, let alone their cowardly terrorist attacks.

Once measures like those above are taken, the military problem will become more manageable, especially once more local support is gained.

Do you know how much initiative is being done for development? Railways and roadways are being built and planned as we speak. For development, there are a few pre-requisites:

- Rail transport for goods transit
- Good road network.
- Easy procedures for resource and production process.
- Most important: Safe environment.

First these communist scum blow up railway tracks and roads and then they complain that no aid or work reaches them. They plunder and look villagers and kidnap and kill kids, torture the same "poor people" they claim days and nights that they are 'protecting'. WTF is all that eh?

I tell you something; ask any east Indian. The entire region is fed up of these terrorists. But the government won't do anything because Leftist and Communist votebank is important to them. So what do we do? Form our own guerillas and fight these lunatics?

Then what's the use of Home Ministry and that loser Chidambaram? Break it down and fire that puppet.

Perhaps that is all justified in your perspective.

Counter insurgency is not a simple game of whack a mole people.

Yeah. Apologists like you keep saying this while even tiny islands like SL get rid of their terrorism in days of war (with some but inevitable collateral damage).

As I said, excuses by apologists are endless.

Awesome seeing the ill concealed glee in the comments of some Pakistani members here.. Request to Indian members to stay on topic and not start bringing in the TTP/BLA stuff in here.. There are enough threads around that... Pay homage to the dead and move on

this is really sad . RIP

i wish after this that so called Intellectuals would stop propagating the naxals as the oppressed and weak . they are nothing but a bunch of thugs .

Gobernment of India says they r our people so we do not sgart a war with them. We cant kill our people.

The Wisdom says if you have Gangrine kn your thumb cut it or part of hand and leave alive. Or just die by it.

This government has become a gangrene now mate.

But these evil Maoist scumbags also attack common man by extorting money, attacking trains, blowing up schools and killing people for not supporting them. I am happy these Maoist were never successful in India and our country was spared from brunt of Great Leap forward and cultural revolution.

Yes the same way corrupt govt officials destroy ppl's lives. YOu need to realize there is more to it than what the media portrays. I don;t agree wholeheartedly with their tactics but they came to this path after being pushed and yoked by officials. So, these brave men who died are innocent but they are being put in harm;s way by the very folks who started this issue in the first place.

Should be nice to sit in US ,working your *** for the Wall St and type these revolutionary words...No ?

Anyway I have noticed you have absolutely no clue whatsoever of the ground realities and just spout your JNU coffee club communism here. Because these people's soldiers dont go about doing illegal mining to the tune of 2000 crores, destroy roads, railways, telephone lines, schools which are the harbingers of development. Good for you ...

Don't discuss Pakistan's internal matters, it is serious valid issues on India today. Will be Maharashtra state will be independence from India soon ? Talibans and Maoist are still alives which is difficult for both South Asian countries.

The police vehicle was ripped apart by the blast

A landmine explosion in the western Indian state of Maharashtra has killed at least 15 policemen, officials say.

The attack has been blamed on Maoist rebels, who operate in the area as well as several other Indian states.

It is one of the worst attacks on Indian police in two years.

Maoist rebels in the eastern state of Orissa kidnapped two Italians about two weeks ago, but released one and have been in talks with the state government over the other man's release.

Tuesday's attack happened in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, a remote and relatively undeveloped part of the country.

The district is on Maharashtra's border with the central state of Chhattisgarh and is a stronghold of the rebels.

The police vehicle was travelling through a forested region when the landmine was triggered, reports said.

The policemen, members of India's national paramilitary force, were travelling on a bus, the Press Trust of India news agency quoted officials as saying.

The explosion was so powerful that it could be heard several kilometres away and the bus was turned into a mangled heap of twisted metal, a police officer in the district told the BBC.

"Fifteen CRPF [Central Reserve Police Force] are dead," a spokesman for the force told AFP news agency.

"The attack happened around 11:30 am (06:00 GMT) when the bus carrying them struck an IED," the spokesman, BC Khanduri said.

"The injured are now being taken to hospital. We don't have an exact estimate for the number of injured yet."

Other reports said 15 police were injured.

'Red corridor'

India's Maoist insurgency began in West Bengal state in the late 1960s and has become, according to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the country's "greatest internal security challenge".

The Maoists control large areas of several states in a "red corridor" stretching from the north-east to central India.

They say they are fighting for communist rule and greater rights for tribal people and the rural poor.

Big military and police offensives in recent years have pushed the rebels back to their forest strongholds and levels of violence have fallen. But hit-and-run attacks are still common, killing hundreds of people every year.

Twelve policemen were killed in a landmine attack on 21 January in eastern Jharkhand state and, in June 2010, 26 police were killed in an ambush in the central state of Chhattisgarh.

In the biggest Maoist attack on security forces, 75 policemen and one driver were killed in April 2010 when the rebels ambushed a large group of paramilitary police returning from a patrol in the dense jungle of Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district.

I guess its good to assume you know everything. Assumption is the mother of all *%#&^*#. They fight because at one time nobody fought for them. Our govt and bureaucracy is corrupt to the core. Anna Hazare made an epic statement today pointing how the govt worked together today to denounce the way MP's are being slighted but fail to do absolutely nothing about 168 or so MPs who have criminal records. NOw that my friend is a f-king ground reality. How can we have an honest debate on anything when anyone makes an attempt is maligned and subjected to Accusations. So you point out how they stop development when all this time it was denied. I agree they need to start coming to peace talks but their tactics enable them to survive and remain a threat. The only way they will ever be heard is when are in a position to carry out a threat unfortunately. That is a sad reality. I suggest you get off your *** and travel throughout India and see the bloody ground realities. I am sorry if I sound quite annoyed but enough is enough. I hate when folks lecture everyone without knowing there are always mulitple sides to any story. Listen to all versions, discard the BS and accept the 1/2 of what's leftover as the truth. There will be a common theme. Just look at how Arundati Roy was amligned by the media and how many middle and rich class ppl lapped it up. Do you think she hates India? Or do you think she is more informed than the rest of us and is pointing something that our govt fails to publicize?

So i'll enjoy my cup of joe, type away to my heart;s content, while India passess rules and regulations to control the internett and media in order to sway misinformed ppl who think dams can last a 1000 yrs and the nuclear industy is perfectly safe. Till now folks thought India had no problems with its industry, yet when a RTI was filed it was denied for a long long time. After it came out, it revealed why. Then folks switched their arguements to ay it only affects those who work in such industries. Do you see where I am going with this?

Mate I understand what you are saying, but you have to realize that even when government tries to do something these people destroy their attempts. I agree that the government is corrupt, but these naxals are not any better. Most of the heads of these naxals group sit in luxury and brainwash the poor village poeple into doing their dirty work. They are no different from the terrorist.

Growing up observing Naxalites in my own native state, I know the reality 1000 times more than you who is sitting in a foreign country.
