A huge diplomatic failure on part of Pakistani Diplomats residing in Canada as they allowed Indian lobby or indian sponsored groups to influence a Canadian Member of Provincial Parliament in giving statement that was against the interests of Pakistan.

Jessica Bell, an MPP from University—Rosedale, issued a statement on the floor of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario calling upon authorities to open investigation over death of Karima Baloch. She in her statement mentioned that "Human Rights activists are calling upon full & independent investigation of Karima's death & so Am I...." . In her own words she has made it clear that the groups like BNM, SAATH Forum & other Indian sponsored groups were able to influence her in giving her this statement.

Complete video statement:

Jessica Bell is part of New Democratic Party & is an opposition member in Ontario provincial assembly. She is from University - Rosedale constituency & it is to be reminded it is in City of Toronto where Karima studied & liver, hence Indian sponsored touts had access to Jessica.

This statement from Canadian MPP is being circulated & propagated by known actors whose sole purpose is to work against Pakistan

It is to be noted that Jessica is part of New Democratic Party whose leader is Jagmeet Singh. Indian authorities accuse Jagmeet of sponsoring & supporting Pro Khalistan leadership

So questions should be asked from our Consulate in Toronto that what efforts did they make to stop such lobbying & what efforts did they make to investigate the death of Karima Baloch... Did they contact the said MPP & set the record clear?

My new pet phrase for Pakistan(even resembles the Pakistani map in some ways)

Unfortunately, it seems this will continue.

The Indians took an initial hit with the Pakistani ruse of IK’s charm and Kashmir offensive. Now they have come back prepared as they always do and we shall see how well prepared diplomacy shows shortcutistan its place.

They are enjoying the Canadian lifestyle, as am sure of it, after all that is what FSP is all about.
Shame on me for saying this but that is what everyone does when posted to a developed country such as UK, US or Canada, be it a Diplomat, Civilian or a Genera/ Col...

am baffled by the incompetence of our lobbyist that how a person whose Party head is accused of working with the ISI was led into giving a statement against our national interests....

.
Here in Toronto a lot of neighbourhoods that have NDP MPP’s have significant amount of Pakistanis living in them and if all the Pakistanis protest against this by sending emails to their NDP MPP we can make a difference. The area I use to live in is a NDP stronghold and has a significant Pakistani and Muslim population. Pakistanis supported by Pak consulate should protest against these MPP’s cuz the only reason their in power in these areas is cuz Muslims and Pakistanis support them the white ppl hate them and support Conservative

.
Slightly off topic, but if India is indirectly calling for investigation into her death could it mean that her RAW handlers didn't get rid of her? If so, does that imply that ISI has the capability to reach all the way to Canada?

.
Stop looking for approval of free secular democracy like Canada while being theocracy hybrid regime. As great IK said no need to appease west.

That is because the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Very tactical short term thinking that reflects on how strategic thinking has not evolved in our diplomatic corps because the institution is still nacent. The ICS has a 100 year solid and proven history while the CSP has fallen prey to interruptions by both military and civilian dictatorship. Basically, Pakistanis in these posts generally don’t know their jobs but are too busy in interfering in each other’s works for self aggrandizement.

The sad bit is that “Bezar agayin hain khamian bata ke” in the hope that some positivity can be highlighted.

.
Canada is irrelevant in Pakistan's internal matters. the Women died in Canada, they need to investigate her death if they want to.

.
As if Canadian police would say that yeah ISI did it and we lied about it casting doubt of their professionalism.
Above posters are right about our virtually non existent diplomacy in West and this is where we need to up the game.

The MPP is not important at all and will be out in next elections. I live in Toronto and have never heard of her and quite frankly no one gives a crap about Karina or about this MPP.
Pakistani and supporting MPPs can bring Khalistan issue to limelight but we don’t because it is not the time.
Pakistanis are not monkeys that jump up and down on everything.
You have promoted the MPP unknowingly.

One thing that Pakistan has to remember is that they won't win the diplomatic war. This game is rigged. Western nations are in bed with India. Why don't we understand that Western nations are propping up India to counter China? The Western nations are going to listen to India no matter what. India is their poodle. India is going to use their relations with Western powers to malign Pakistan as much as possible. Western nations are happily obliging to Indian demands. The West will walk over Pakistan without batting an eye lid. Pakistan won't be able to counter the propaganda in the Western world. That is simply a fact. The fact that Western nations are openly providing refuge to anti-Pak separatists should be enough to open our eyes. India never pushed Canada, Sweden or other Western nations to provide asylum to anti-state elements in Pakistan. These Western powers provided asylum willingly and with a very clear purpose. It is to agitate Pakistan. It is to pressure Pakistan. It is to malign Pakistan.

If we realise this, we won't be bothered by Western propaganda against Pakistan. Balochistan is a massive pain for Western nations and Hindustan. It is a strategic part of the world and China is investing a lot of resources to make it a success. The West is dead against Chinese OBOR. Balochistan figures highly in Chinese plans to gain easy access to warm waters. This development irks Western nations severely. These are the same Western nations that didn't even know Balochistan existed before Chinese investment. Suddenly these Western nations have found love and concern for their oppressed Balochi brothers.

Pakistan should concentrate on building stronger ties with regional nations. Relying on Western nations for trade amounts to holding yourself hostage. Pakistan and the Western won't get along. Simply because we now belong in opposing camps.

Pakistan needs to be extremely careful. The Western powers want to transform Balochistan into another Kurdistan. Baloch are the new Kurds. There is only one way of countering Western designs against Pakistan. Cut off diplomatic relations. It won't be easy, but it is a must. We expats are going to suffer, but for Pakistan everything is worth it.

EXCELLENT Post!!!

As long as the West sees the need to use india as an obstacle against China, Pakistan can never be seen or treated fairly by the West. Especially since Pakistan is strongly allied with China. Pakistan's future lies with China and to some extent, Turkey too. Having said that we need to further increase our relations with Iran and mend relations with Afghanistan.

.
We need to further increase our ties with both Iran and Turkey.

Any country, but Western powers. As long as Pakistan relies on Western powers for anything this bloc will continue to exploit to their own advantage. Whether this is trade, loans or anything else. Time has come for a total transformation. The relationship between Pakistan and Western powers just won't work. The sooner Pakistan realises this the better.

The Pakistani military has definitely realised this. I think our politicians are also starting to realise this albeit slowly and reluctantly.

In the 7th picture it says, "You can never kill an ideology". Well if old Karima wasn't a druggie she would not have overdosed and would be alive here today. As would her ideology........ :disagree:

The Pakistani military has definitely realised this. I think our politicians are also starting to realise this albeit slowly.

If the current government won't realise this despite being on the same page with the armed forces one can only be disappointed. Pakistan isn't willing to take the plunge. There is fear. Pakistan has nothing to fear. Pakistan is blessed with neighbors such as China and Iran. With Iran we might have some differences, but they can be overcome. We have many more commonalities than differences.

There is no doubt that Pakistan will feel the heat initially when ditching the West. Iran is a very good example, but they are surviving despite sanctions and boycott. We have to bundle our powers and resources. Our enemies are the same. Our challanges are the same. A lot of things will change for Pakistan. Economically and otherwise. We will also have to face a covert war with the West which Pakistan essentially is already facing through Afghanistan. It will get much worse. The hostility and vilification. On a positive note, Pakistan will be able to stand on its own feet for once. Regional alliances will become the main priority. No distractions and lollipops. Just one goal which is to work for regional prosperity and alliances. The alternative is continuation of status quo. Pakistan shouldn't seek enmity, but it needs to be very clear that it won't tolerate Western meddling. This should have consequences as Western powers are indeed meddling shamelessly. The West won't stop interfering in Pakistan.
