India killing Bangladeshi's randomly in border like as Kashmir. What's the difference?

Truth is always truth. Somebody can take it somebody couldn't. Thats the reality.

.
Do good fences make good neighbours? Not along the India-Bangladesh border. Here, India has almost finished building a 2,000km fence. Where once people on both sides were part of a greater Bengal, now India has put up a "keep out" sign to stop illegal immigration, smuggling and infiltration by anti-government militants.

This might seem unexceptional in a world increasingly hostile to migration. But to police the border, India's Border Security Force (BSF), has carried out a shoot-to-kill policy - even on unarmed local villagers. The toll has been huge. Over the past 10 years Indian security forces have killed almost more then 1,000 people, mostly Bangladeshis, turning the border area into a south Asian killing fields. No one has been prosecuted for any of these killings, in spite of evidence in many cases that makes it clear the killings were in cold blood against unarmed and defenceless local residents.

Shockingly, some Indian officials endorse shooting people who attempt to cross the border illegally, even if they are unarmed. Almost as shocking is the lack of interest in these killings by foreign governments who claim to be concerned with human rights. A single killing by US law enforcement along the Mexican border makes headlines. The killing of large numbers of villagers by Indian forces has been almost entirely ignored.

The violence is routine and arbitrary. Alauddin Biswas described to Human Rights Watchthe killing of his 24-year-old nephew, who was suspected of cattle rustling, by Indian border guards in March 2010. "The BSF had shot him while he was lying on his back. They shot him in the forehead. If he was running away, he would have been shot in the back. They just killed him." The BSF claimed self-defence, but no weapons were recovered.

Some of the victims have been children. One father recounted how his sons were beaten by BSF officers. "The BSF personnel surrounded the boys and without giving any reason started beating them with rifle butts, kicking and slapping them. There were nine soldiers, and they beat my sons mercilessly. Even as the boys fell down, the BSF men continued to kick them ruthlessly on their chest and other sensitive organs."

ndia does not have the right to use lethal force except where strictly necessary to protect life. Yet some Indian officials openly admit that unarmed civilians are being killed. The head of the BSF, Raman Srivastava, says that people should not feel sorry for the victims, claiming that since these individuals were illegally entering Indian territory, often at night, they were "not innocent" and therefore were a legitimate target.

The response of various government officials to allegations of a shoot-to-kill policy has been confusing: we do shoot illegal border crossers since they are lawbreakers; we don't shoot border crossers; we only shoot in self-defence; we never shoot to kill. ??? So why people are getting blood ?

The question is whether this will be translated into action on the ground. Similar promises of "zero tolerance" for abuses have been made in Kashmir and elsewhere but have not been fulfilled.

As India's economy has grown and foreign investors have flocked in, its human rights record has largely flown under the radar in recent years. But India is a growing world power with increasing influence. It should understand that its behaviour will come under increasing scrutiny. Routinely shooting poor, unarmed villagers is not how the world's largest democracy should behave.

That article was reprinted earlier in PDF, quite apart from the obvious differences in English language and style. This one is a truly cheeky troll, claiming credit for that article and to be settled in Britain, and to be conversant in English, and a military analyst and expert....I believe we have a schoolboy on our hands.

The answer is, The area is poor , and basically they are famer and doing this kind of job. Even they are trading with india in many way's.

Now why the crossing the border that is Q- Transporting cows is the main factor and most importantly trainspotting drugs and arms. from India. So without the help of Indian people IS IT POSSIBLE ?

The land of death- Make the statement clear. I have entered INDia for 90 Km without any permission and passed many BSf and Military camps . No one saw me. So India now became a land of Death?

In that case - you have to wait . May be you are not well known about war strategy. In 1971 Pakistan did operation inside of bd and they failed. and only one area was suitable for india to access. we didn;t forgot all those areas.

I dn't want want to argue with you with this matter. Because you will nt understand, in which perspective i am talking about. So i think you need to quite.

Ohho Falani was an incident. And killing poor farmers isn't ? @ or 3 days ago BSf killed 2 Bangladeshi inside of Bangladesh border. Now what is insident ?

As i told you for weak foreign policy and indian govt. full fort aggravation creating the problem more and more.

Exactly...if you ask me, ordinary Indian do not harbour ill feeling for BD. Even i do not mind, if BD rangers shoot down some smugglers from India who are crossing the BD border...I completely agree with you that crossing of border is not from BD to India, it might be happening from India to BD to some extent too...

So rather than aggravating the situation, both matured nations need to talk and find our a mechanism to address it...You have to understand our concern too...Our problem is not just about crossing border for trade and commerce, but the bigger problem is that people settle down in Indian side, that impacts the demography and politics of our NE state...As long as no one settle down in India and they just goes back to BD, i really do not think it will be such a critical issue for us as it is happening right now.

Have you heard of the phrase, "Having lost sight of our objectives, we redoubled our efforts"?

Our MANY Muslims will not lift a little finger for those who left them behind and traipsed off, and then have consistently damaged their position within the country by trying to build them into fifth columns, being sanctimonious about their problems without any intention to help, and hoping against hope that they would be stupid enough to side with the enemies of the nation.

WHO do you think will launch an insurgency? Bangladesh? where? Within Bangladesh? What good will that do? Within India? How will they do that when they can't cross the border for their cattle-smuggling?

And what support from the Kashmir militants? They can't control affairs within the Valley, leave alone Srinagar and Leh; what good will they be to this imaginary Bangladeshi insurgency?

Finally do you seriously think that your military has blubber between its collective ears, to attack India?

It is best you go back to comics.

Our military can start small skirmishes and financially and tactically support the militants as they carry out operations. Also, the Bangaldeshi insurgents can draw India into a war on Bangladeshi soil, and start an insurgency in the thick jungles of Bangladesh, similar to Vietnam. Kashmiri insurgents can do a similar thing, but in the mountains and urban towns of Kashmir. As for Indian Muslims themselves, they will start fighting if India causes massive civilian casualties, which they would.

Of course, this scenario will hopefully never happen, but I'm just putting things into perspective for you.
