Unlike previous two gov in Pakistan, if push comes to shove Pakistan won't back down from a fight. What is different now is we have a functional NCC (National Coordination Committee) now with close Army and Government consensus on matters of national concern. So NCC jointly decides what type of retaliation required with final go ahead from PM. A functional NCC and in sync foreign office is why foreign office is doing it's job well this time.

The only thing is that he knows what is the cost of a War in terms of human lives especially when both sides have nukes. It's easy to start a War but hard to finish. No one has control over the escalation ladder.

Because Pakistan didn't recognize that article officially in the first place hence no reaction, havnt you followed parliament debate by all parties on it.
Opposition parties once it was pointed to them they also went mum. Pakistan's stance remains same Kashmir is not a part of India and Kashmiri's need self determination.
Modi has undone any chance it had on acquiring Kashmiri trust, even pacifist Kashmiri local politicians are on house arrest and its a ticking time bomb when they will agitate. This time India won't be able to pin it on cross border infiltration.

Seriously? Thats must be the lamest excuse on earth. Tomorrow they will change demographics of kashmir and the pathetic govt would say we dont recognize it hence do nothing n keep diplomatic relations? Countries have broken diplomatic relations on smaller issues but our stupid govt and establishment doesnt want that.

Article 370 is India's accession document for Kashmir. Pakistan doesn't recognize it and protesting its revokation means legitimising India's claim. We do condemn their use of force against Kashmiris whenever possible.

We tried Aman ki Asha and it was a farce with vested business interests of previous governments. We finally have a PM who can't be coerced and civil-military is on same page via National Coordination Committee NCC. It is pretty understood that final solution for Kashmir will eventually be military but can't be done till Kashmiries put pressure from their side so we can repeat what India did in Bangladesh in 1971. Last time we helped them in 90s we failed politically, got the revolution labeled as terrorism and some Kashmiri politicians hoped they could get concessions from India if they cooperate and get accepted in mainstream politics. This was their misunderstanding and cleared by Modi now.

It pains me to say things will get worse under Modi in Kashmir but he is fueling a time bomb. Kashmiri politicians won't side with India again after what's being done.

We have to be patient and wait for the moment.
