India in China's gunsights

Chinese-Dragon said:
Those Indians’ mind is just full of delusive fantasy… do Ashoka’s edicts provide evidence of your claim?

Otherwise prove your point with credible sources.

Chinese-Dragon said:
^^^ Hey buddy you can believe in whatever urban legend you want.

Just thought it would be nice to see some actual evidence of it.

Chinese-Dragon said:
And still, any official evidence is welcome.

It is probably pointless to debate with you.

And as before, you can continue to believe urban legends if you wish.

WOW.......Are you for real??? I gave you Washingtonpost and Allexperts links to support my claim; which you can clearly see in my second post here. And yet you ask me again several times after that for sources without acknowledging my reply??

India was offered a permanent seat on the council 55 years ago, in 1955. But that offer, made by the United States and the Soviet Union, was declined by India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru said the seat should be given to China instead.

Jawaharlal Nehru "declined a United States offer" to India to "take the permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council" around 1953. Nehru declined the offer about the same time as he turned down "with scorn" John Foster Dulles' support for an Indian Monroe Doctrine. Nehru suggested that the United Nations Security Council seat held by Taiwan be offered to Beijing instead.

Not that I expect anyone to accept this and let the issue rest..... Even if Nehru, Mao, Eisenhower and Khrushchev were to rise from the grave and tell the story, some people will still say it is an urban legend.

When I thought you didn't notice it, I asked you to read my post again instead of asking for evidence.

I already gave you evidence from American websites to support my claim and I also predicted that you would go on with the "urban legend" nonsense and ....well you didn't disappoint me

But you chose to childishly ignore the links and keep on asking me for evidence. If you think the well respected sources that I have provided are not credible enough for you, then at least have the manners to say so and give a reason for it. However if you want to pretend that all American or Indian sources are too insignificant to even comment on, I am sorry but I can't get you a CIA report or an "unbiased" Chinese newspaper. I have to agree with you..... It is pointless to continue this talk.
I am sorry that I assumed you were something better than the common Chinese internet trolls.......and I don't care if you take that personally.

^^^ Nice quote tampering.

The first quote was NOT written by me. Poor attempt.

Anyway as I said, I want an official statement from ANY national government not just some newspaper.

The only official statement we have so far, is from Nehru when he was Prime minister, in which he categorically DENIES this urban legend.

Until you find something that is actually official, goodbye.

I didn't really understand why you had so much interest in my Nationality and Gender rather than my opinion on the topic. However, now that you shown me that you are an a**hole who thinks that guys are in some way superior to women, I understand what type of lowlife you are. It's not that I don't know how to reply to you properly, but this would not be the right forum to talk about women's rights or cultural/religious differences. Thanks for the offer though, but I am quite happy with the gender that I was born with.

. .
now u r using gender equality to cover ur buttside of cheating identity and now atttack me! i am amazed at ur tactics my friend...

Mods,i request a check on ip address of tankgirl...i am much more interested in whether tankgirl cheat identity/nationality or not.....if Mods r not even bother to check then please be more consistent in ur way of world, tankgirl...

Oh...Big deal.
So my attempt at manual multi-quoting produced a slight mistake. I am sure you agree that all the other quotes with the same idea after that are yours.

Anyway you seem to be naive enough to expect a State Department briefing about diplomatic backdoor wrangling that took place half a century ago. Good luck with that.....maybe you might get a wikileak of ancient diplomatic cables soon.

You asked for a non-Indian source and I gave that to you. But of course, your intention is clearly to keep on trying to deny this in every possible way. Such a person can never be convinced, no matter how much proof they see. You amuse me though by still saying that you believe what Nehru said in parliament to convince the opposition, but not what he said in his autobiography...whatever.

it's a logical joke to use Obama's lip service as a support to the allegation that India yielded UNSC seat to China.

This is About.com stuff citing Shashi Tharoor’s book. Please bear two things in your mind:

1) Liberal liars are rampant in India, be they in your political arena or in your media.

2) Mr. Tharoor was born in 1956. Pandit Nehru died in 1964, when Tharoor was only 8. Thus Tharoor couldn’t hear Nerhu’s remark personally. Does he refer to any credible source? More likely, it is from circular sources: liar A coined something up, liar B refers to A and innocent C refers to B without checking out that A is a liar, etc.

hahhah the point is very simple, china has been on the UNSC since the founding of the UN, india was not a country then, understand?
certainly india supported the seating of the PRC rather than ROC but non-the-less this does not translate into india giving up what would have been its seat, no, china already has a seat we don't need non-existent india charity, it was only a matter of time that the reconition switch as the PRC is more and more important relative to the ROC. perhaps indian support help it happen faster, perhaps not, either way india didnt give up its seat which it didn't have to begin with and gave it to china which is already represented and is a founding member
