Also because he keeps advocating for India to make Peace with Pakistan before it is too late. Frankly, if India gave Kashmir Azadi, it would free India As well. It could then focus on national development (and competing with China) before the Indian demographic dividend ends (in about 20 years). He wants to see his country develop before it is stuck in the middle income trap; “getting old before it gets rich”, putting to an end any hopes of India breaking free of its limited global standing and becoming a great power.
