Reuters said both officials, who spoke to it on condition of anonymity.
One of the officials said India remained focused on rapid economic growth and any conflict would deflect it from that path.

"War is not in India's interest" the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

actually they did not want from start because they have started to give signals right from the breifing of DGMO of India. but i dont think that they have not enough capabilities to wage a war.

This is called as silly question...Do you think that Pakistan is always ready for war? If you think Pakistan is so brave to always fight for war, then who was stopping you to fight for a war over Kashmir?

Bottom line is that civillian Gov of both nations understand the priority to develop each others economy rather than fighting with each other. Our reluctance to war is not a sign of weakness rather it is a pragmatic approach to prioritize the requirement of our country..

Off course, when I read the statement from many of their ex-army men and defense analysts, I assumed already that they are lacking many things and the junk which they have from past is from Russia and it’s already outdated, and the DOD “ Make in India” is also not working, LOL!

budddy i said also that they are not weak enough that they cant defend themselves or cant wage the war. because you should not go only by articles because there are certain truth that nobody can think of about millitary paradigms. so what i am syaing is that ,no doubt they may have certain weaknesses but we also have and we should also focus on weakneses as well as strength which we need to hone more and more.

Because we have a neighour and a country where people think that fighting a war is more sacred thing in their life than living a normal life. To fight aggressive war, you do not need too much of Arms rather to defend yourself from a nation like neighbor where Army has rules most part of the times, India need to make themselves strong...

Don't tell something without proper research.. Defence budget of India as percentage of GDP is only 2.3%.. While for Pakistan it is 3.4%....
India 2002-2.8%. 2003-2.7%. 2004- 2.8%. 2005-2.8%. 2006-2.5% 2007- 2.3% 2008-2.6% 2009- 2.9%. 2010-2.7% 2011-2.6%. 2012-2.5% 2013- 2.4%. 2014-2.5%. 2015- 2.3%

Pakistan 2002- 4.2%. 2003- 4.1% 2004- 4.0% 2005-3.9%. 2006- 3.7% 2007-3.4% 2008-3.1% 2009-3.1%. 2010- 3.1% 2011-3.1% 2012-3.3% 2013-3.2% 2014-3.3% 2015-34%..
This def budget to GDP ratio, but actually def budget to tax revenue matters..

Pakistan is prospering day by day
We have almost defeated terrorism in pakistan
And balochistan situation has improved the country is united its just your media who is propagating a wrong image of Pakistan

India would love to create a kargil like situation but they aren't capable enough and don't have the guts to face a battle hardened army
