India Developing, but still a long way to go

Kindly post pics from Bejai/Lalbagh if you have them. The pace of development in Mangalore is crazy and sometimes sad. When I went to Lighthouse in Tagore Park in mid-90s with my parents, we could see far off and it was beautiful. Now when I went last December, the park itself is poorly maintained, and the view completely blotted out by buildings.

That is true. Now tagore park is overwhelmed by the city centre mall, which blocks the view.

Cybercity is compared to London's Canary Wharf, only smaller by 1/3'rd.

• Still, above dlf Cybercity is worth US $ 10 Billion. Therefore the Maruti plant land is at least as much because the land parcel is x4 times. Maruti m-cap ? Less then $ 10 Billion!

• Idiotically, parent dlf's m-cap is only about US $ 5 Billion

Maruti's brand value, dealer network, marketing, market penetration, exports, HR, other lands investments, govt. goodwill all add up to value. And dlf has more brand name 'Cyber Cities' like above all over India, plus huge, marquee high-rise gated complexes, clubs, golf courses, cinemas, land parcels and other land and non land business.

all the transport and goods that goes to tripura , mizoram and southern assam go through shillong city, causing huge congestion , so much that trucks are allowed only during night time . Now they can take this route and save time and will ease up congestion in shillong city..
