So far there are Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Mumbai, recently started Gurgaon, parts of Dehli Metro under construction. Navi Mumbai And Hyderabad metro will start too.

Proposed Metros are Kochi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, etc also a Trivandrum Monorail.

I haven't followed Chandigarh metro proposal.

Very true but at least something is being done. My father always told me- "reach for the moon, even if you fail you will be amongst the stars".

One day I have no doubt Mumbai/India will be slum free, and not too far away.
