yes to some extent, its a way of showing spine, like the USSR though know that TASR BOMBA is no weapon but still went with its detonation to send a political message. Deployment of UAV's over SL air space is a show of spin. And Congress leadership at the moment does not have one.
The deployment of UAV's should have been for two purposes
1) Make sure the safty of Tamil Fishermen of INDIA at our 1000 YEAR old fishing grounds and to expose the attrocities of SLN on tamil fishermen.
2) Expose the SL attrocities on eelam tamils still kept on different concentration camp in different remote places of the country which is forbidden for international media.

Guys, fellow INDIANS, peace with SL is not forbidden in the eyes of Tamils, all we are asking is that show them who is the boss here in the INDIAN Ocean.
Too much of fear of CHINA getting a base and too much of lineancy towards mass murderers for the sake of economic ties will make us loose our strong hold in the INDIAN ocean.
