India defends human rights abuses in Burma

Nope they were the real oppressed people. NOw oppressors are being oppressed.
so the Indian occupation/transgression of Kashmir and East Bengal are well-deserved retribution particularly for the Muslim population in those lands?

Unfortunately the Burmese don't really share this view, despite the few diplomatic response you might see from Burmese members. The Indian delusion about "civilizational link" to SE Asia is similar to the Turkish delusions about "Turkic nations" (the real Turkic nations don't really reciprocate the feeling).

During the race riot in the British Raj era, the overwhelmingly hindu British Indian army protected the Rohinygas against Rakhines. That's because a race riot is simply a... "race" riot! The Burmese are a very race conscious nation - otherwise what stops them from uniting with the Buddhist Thai next door? Try visiting Arakan as your next tourist destination and see for yourself how your "civilizational buddies" treat dark skinned people like you (just don't identify as a foreigner).

Like Turkish Bangladeshis

"I-if you namecall, I-i'm going to namecall too!!!"
For God's sake, get a hold of yourself. You're living in the United States and yet continue to engage in petty third-world slum-dweller behavior. :disagree:

You dont understand the word he said. its derogatory term.he knows it. he should not say it in this sacred month.

I am not sure Why would India will spoil its relationship with Myanmar which does not impact us directly...And again...Why even BD is even worried about this issue as it is none of BD issue too...If you have sympathy due to Muslim factor then rasie this issue in your OIC session and take corrective steps to settle the refugess...Why even India should even take any steps or support this issue...

Maybe you are right or wrong. Myanmarese may be racist because there country has been shut up to the world for most of it's recent history. Its also a very secluded country so they had very little interaction with foreigners historically.
But that doesn't lessen the fact that India has a civilizational link and also a great STRATEGIC need because India needs Myanmar in hunting the militia in the NE. So India will definately support Myanmar.

But if its a Myanmar vs Bangladesh issue then India will act as a mediator because India needs Bangladesh too. A growing, prosperous, stable and friendly nation like Bangladesh in your neighborhood is an asset

Civilization wise, India is far closer to BD culture, customs and people than the Burmese, and you can get a taste of it in real life by visiting Dhaka and Yangon.
I can agree with your rationale for the strategic need of Burmese support to contain the NE militias.

thats the main issue here... we had to stop supporting their pro democratic leaders because we want to contain militancy in NE. Govt decision has little to do with culture, we have more cultural ties and similarity with USA than soviets, but we ended up in soviet camp.

Indian pretensions on democracy and human rights have again been shown to be a farce.

I agree with you 100%....Civilization and culture wise, and even the perception of Indian people iabout BD is always favorable.....I am not sure from BD about it India...

Overall positive, 70% have favorable views, but all depends on India's attitude towards us on bilateral issues like water sharing, transit to other countries, trade concessions, etc.

Rohngyas cannot be saved nor realty return to BD till the Indian puppets at Dhaka are removed.

LOL I thought it was pakistan which is a Islamic republic and selling weapons to myanmar. By the way you are welcome to wage jihad against kafir-murtad burmese govt. :D and it would be even better if you embrace martyrdom :-)
