Its Myanmars "internal matter",,,just like uighur issue is Chinas internal matter...
why shud we jeopardise our relationship with a friendly country for illegals residing in Burmese teritory.
Bangladeshis, just like uighur issue,,,suck it up
Very well put! Burma is a friendly country in a very unfriendly neighborhood and India would be ill-advised to interfere! I also think that people overestimate India's ability to influence the Junta's decisions.
Besides, from all publicly available information, Rohingyas appear to be illegal immigrants in Burma and their treatment are totally an internal matter of Burma as far as India is concerned! And India itself is a victim of severe illegal immigration crisis from Bangladesh!
Those wishing India to interfere in this matter, obviously don't have India's interests in mind.
Indian pretensions on democracy and human rights have again been shown to be a farce.
It never was a surprise that Indian democracy is 'farce'. In fact, we are first ones to admit that our democracy is far from perfect - just as expected of a poor 3rd world country that struggles to meet even the basic necessities of its people!
More serious question to be asked here is -- why must the burden of protecting morality/human rights fall on India while China (despite being a much more developed country and a permanent member of UNSC
that also shares a very cordial disposition with the Junta) gets away with most brutal oppression in both Tibet and Xinjiang while remaining totally silent in the case of Burma?
Aren't you the same people, who don't tire of singing songs in praise of China for their policy of non-interference into other countries?
If Bangladeshis or the Ummah cared so much, they should take it upon themselves to talk to the Junta! Remember BD is also a 'democracy'!
Stop expecting a 'farce' democracy to do your bidding!
