Your point is valid plus Pakistan refused to give india any guarantee regarding not closing supply incase the relations b/w both neighbors gets bad that was the reason behind indian back off from iran project but though the main reason in that case was US pressure..Now again Pak hasnt given india any assurance so investing such huge amount would be a mistake on india's part as unless kashmir is resolved according to native's wishes we both neighbors cant share and enjoy lasting peace..

I guess its high time for india to think how much it is gaining by occupying kashmir and how much it is loosing..Just imagine two pipelines from IRAN one of crude oil n one of gas and another TAPI pipeline plus road network to connect india to iran and CAR's...I guess any neutral and country loving guy can see trillions of dollars india can make by trade and energy efficiency only if it lets a referendum in kashmir...

Plus there wont be any dispute and hatred with Pak.

On contrary if India had whole Kashmire the pipeline would have come directly in Indian territory throgh Afgan. Just a theory don't shoot for that

feasibility assessment was done ages ago.

Daultabad field of Turkmanistan was not correctly evaluated, South Pars was correctly evaluated. Daultabad field is already providing gas to Russia. Its not feasible to invest $7 Billion on it. TAPI is a waste of time, its just Asian Development Bank and US which are interested in it.

Yup it's scrapped now. But assuming TAPI's future it is going to be back on table after few years.

Hope by that time Tensions in gulf will be reduced or people got used to that

Qatar can be alternate since Iran is under sanctions, by he way, distance traverse through Qatar will be almost same compared to Turkmenistan.
