I do not know about any Saudi demand. However, holding Abhinandan for longer would have caused more pain for India. Don't forget the Pakistani narrative here was that India attacked a harmless madrasa and of course its pertinent to remind every one that both countries are nuclear powers. So, if you are going with a narrative that a harmless school was attacked, you could have held Abhi for longer and force India to answer some really tough questions. The pressure on Modi from common citizens for Abhi was immense - a lost opportunity as far as war games go even in my mind and I'm a proud Indian!

First of all Pakistan's narrative was never that you attacked a Madrasa. That is where you are wrong. We said that you killed a crow and damaged trees.
Secondly how will holding abhinandan would make Modi squeez? We are holding much important asset that is Kulbhoshan and has that squeezed Modi in any way? Nope it has not. Thirdly what can a CAP pilot tell us about the secrets of IAF which we already don't know?
I means how was putting an idiot in jail would have helped us. I fail to understand. India is a RSS nation who like to hold people in jail for useless reasons we don't. Indian missiles are never a threat for Pakistan. There is not a single inch of Indian territory our missiles cannot reach in deterance to India. India don't has the capability to stop our warheads from destroying India so how is India scaring us?
For you Indians your objectives are always short term for Pakistan the objective are never short term. We don't look for a day of fame we always do things that will change your entire life.
By giving one Abhinandan we made sure Modi wins elections and look at the results of that in India. They are all around you.
The value of Abhinandan is just like a soldier that crosses LOC accidently. What every one forgets is that abhinandan was not shot down while India was attacking Pakistan but abhinandan was shot down while India was defending a Pakistani attack. So a country who bombs the court yard of the building where your army chief was taking a dump in is scared of you. Lol.

I don't even believe that Pakistan should have shot down more aircraft. Wasn't that enough that Pakistan killed enemy's two metal birds for a Pakistani crow, and destroyed 150 trees for 15 Pakistani pine trees, and confused them to kill their own heli with six inside for tricking us the previous day? Pakistan didn't want war, but it didn't want Indian planners to feel that they could get away how Israel gets away after bombing weak neighbors.

See that is what it is. The Anger that is what you wanted to relax in you that is why you wanted to hold on to Abhinandan. The same anger that made Abhinandan cross air space and he got shot. Anger makes you make mistakes.

We couldn't have gained anything. Mr Verthamanan was so happy when he knew public was recording video.

Even after a few weeks, we would've been hearing the same bravado from Indians.

Don't forget we have a more important asset, an ex Navy Commander and an on duty spy cum terrorist. India couldn't do anything even after knocking the door of international court and requesting other world players to pressurize us. One of the things I have heard (don't know how much truth is in it) that Pakistan would've made out of the grey list much earlier had we released Mr Patel.

PAK military knows when to escalate and when to smartly de-escalate the situation. The destruction of IAF was not the objective at that time. The real objective was to send a resolute message to Delhi to back off. The destruction of IAF will take place when situation requires it, such as in a full scale war. We are not at that stage yet.
Pak military does not work like gang mobs do as some of our neighbors want us to do, so that they can reap the benefits.

It reminds me of urdu speakers before the onset of MQM---. When they were beaten up and someone asked what happened---they would say nothing nothing happened---even though the jaw was swollen and eyes was bue and black.

That is how pakistan acted---no no it was not an act of war---. India just strayed into our territory---.

Even though pakistan reacted RELUCTANTLY with some result---but the opportunity to milk the event was intentionally discouraged---.

It was an act of war by India and replied with act of war by Pakistan. India never had the balls to continue and escalate so we went back to our business as usual. After attack on India territory I think it was Indian turn to reply not ours.

We are not war mongers. Yes American mindset is different. They love to destroy what humanity has built we don't.
