What's new

India Claiming 106Km Border with Afghanistan.

Everything is fine but do we have such sensors or defense radars apart from the military satellites which can help in patrolling those areas. If I am not wrong we can see things of Karakorum highway from Siachin military post.:agree: So may be it is possible that we keep an eye over Afghan border.:) Arial surveillance is also possible using Israeli pods. Any possibility?:undecided:

you gotta be kidding me ! not only did they included azad Kashmir & gilgit-baltistan in it heck they have even put Shaksgam valley & aksai chin along with demhcok in to it :woot:

If you don't know the boundaries of J&K then you should read up a bit. It helps!!

Map of Pakistan. Notice anything wrong with it?
pakistan-map-and-provinces-300x242.jpg

it is not the coreect map

Pakistan does not claim the whole of Kashmir but as a disputed territory heck we don't even claim gigit-baltistan & azad Kashmir our part but we address it as "Pakistan control Kashmir" as per the united nation

here according to the govt of pakistan

About Pakistan
The Islamic republic of Pakistan emerged as an independent sovereign state on 14th August 1947, as a result of the division of former British India. It lies between 23-35 to 37- 05 north latitude and 60-50 to 77- 50 east longitude touching the Hindukush Mountains in the north and extending from the Pamirs to the Arabian Sea.
Pakistan covers 796,095 sq.km with a population of 132.35 million according to population census 1998. It is divided into four provinces:

Sindh,
Punjab,
Khyber Pakhtun Khwa
Balochistan
.

The Official Web Gateway to the Government of Pakistan

see the area it says 796,095 sq km or 307,374 sq mi while pakistan plus Pakistan control Kashmir is 876,710 sq km or 338,500 sq mi

here is the map see the siachen glacier is located in the extreme south east blocked by the broad peak, Concordia, K2 these mountain are under Pakistan's control & with the trans Karakorum tract under Chinese control while the Karakorum highway ( the red color line) is in the extreme north west near the khunjareb pas in the pameer range

mate i know it but that was the boundries of the former princley state of jammu & kashmir as a whole while @ presents its ruled by three different countries as per the u.n & ground reality

the whole map of kashmir that i know is the correct one which is this

http://worldnewscurator.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/control-of-kashmir-map.gif

while the post i was replying to was a grossly inaccurate one as this

http://www.hublog.at/maps/indmap_dateien/IndiaMap.gif

which is showing the entire Kashmir as part of India
which is highly inaccurate i mean Chinese dragon has a point how the hack does some one "patrol" it guards senors etc when one doesn't even have it , mate i have a very valid point both from an academic as well as ground reality point of view

Now since when the first map you first referred to in your post has become an official one but since the whole J&K state seceded to India so the second map is the correct one from Indian POV.

Are you surprised ? I don't really understand why. Until pakistan decides to give up their delusions and acknowledge LoC as the international border, India will continue to claim all of Kashmir. I don't get why you brought it up just now. Its been our official stance for ages, I think for about ~30-40 years now. Until a settlement is reached legitimizing LoC, we will continue to claim AND work towards integrating the WHOLE of Kashmir region to the Indian Union.

@Chinese-Dragon

This is nothing new at all. We have always claimed that region and If i remember correctly. Our forces are not very averse to performing covert ops and extractions in that particular region. Until pakistan is forced to acknowledge LoC and end their religiously motivated aggression, it really is free-for-all. Indian public wouldn't oppose either, every generation since Indian independence has grown up drawing maps of India with the entire kashmir included throughout their formative years. But it does say that some part of it is "occupied" by pakistani forces. I don't remember coming across Chinese occupation of aksai chin though.

according to u.n

as you can see former princely state of Jammu & Kashmir is shown as a divided region with Pakistan being shown in the west behind the actual partition boundary or Radcliffe line of 1947 14/15 August & India in the south behind the actual partition boundary or Radcliffe line of 1947 14/15 August while the line of control is clearly visible distinguishing between Indian & Pakistani parts of the territory with stating clearly that the status of the entire region is yet to established or determined which is in fact the ground reality

Why it surprising you. Shaksgam valley is the part of Jammu and Kashmir, you guys always weep about UN resolution but handed over this territory to China violating the resolution.
Aksai Chin is the part of Ladakh region, India-China tensions started with Aksai Chin.

yes we claim these places, and insha-allah we will reclaim our border....

if you want an academic discussion based on ground reality then i am interested but if you will resort to rhetorics then there is only one reply
