Vegetarianism diet is not a choice in Indian subcontinent but adapting to climatic conditions

Unlike Europe, Indian subcontinent is very hot and meat consumption cannot be sustained here as meat rots in a span of hours whereas in Europe during winters they can stored in cellars for few days.

However, the climate is favorable to grow crops all over the year and hence people from the subcontinent in general consume over lower per capita meat compared to rest

Meat diet has become affordable over the centuries due to advancements in the meat industry

Banning food for religious sentiments is stupidity

Luckily, Indian Govt thankfully so far have not allowed Indians to consume wildlife animals like pangolins, bears, tigers etc

I don't understand the rest of your post simply because for someone in Southern edges of Union territory can feel european weather in northern union territories. Crops are not grown year round in most parts of India.

I know vegans who eat eggs and drink milk but dont consume meat. I know that Jain don't eggs but others are also doing it?

Jains are very strict on vegetarian food if he is a pure jain.... they won't even eat onion, ginger, potatoes etc.....and yes they won't even tolerate if someone sitting on the same table with them and eating non vegetarian food...... they can't even bare the smell.....

funny thing is in my building majority are jains their kids come all day to play with our kids but Inspite of us being strict vegeterians their even 6 to 7 years old kids don't eat anything if offered..... they are already brainwashed.....

once my wife asked one Jan kid why doesn't she eats anything at our place and her answer was...

Mummy papa ne mana kiya hai woh kahte hai ke aap log onion aur potatoes khate ho.....

So you see they won't even spare pure vegeterians like us imagine what kind of thinking they have towards non vegeterians.....

it was raining like hell so it was tough to take him to hotel and my friend from Thailand was in no mood for vegetarian food..... my parents were in native place..... So it was a perfect opportunity to make my guest happy.... Actually inspite of being raised in such family I respected my guest wish so doesn't that make me better.....
