INDIA-CHINA STANDOFF OUTCOME

Raki Nala is in the dispute zone and its the concrete structure put up by India. If this structure indeed is there, it should be removed to show good faith for both sides to deescalate as its in the dispute area.

nobody knows deep details .. but indian infra build up is commonly believed to be much milder than china's.

infact, india built up only in response to china's actions.

china should understand that india is fully able to match anything it does. force will not help them at all.

negotiations is the only way forward.

The immediate outcome would be India start firing at the Chinese. Anything after that would be anyone's guess. Chinese military is the wild card here. Can they still fight a battle after 30+ years of almost no warfare experience?
bunkers have been put in place by both nations just a few km's apart.India has set up new camps.
there won't be firing or a war,it has to be settled out peacefully in the end.

The bigger joke is you are comparing yourself to USSR.

we are better than USSR economically now,we are the second biggest economy and world's biggest industrial and manufacturing power.USSR back then was pretty backward comparing to US,Germany and other western European countries.big wars eventually make new powers, history again and again proves this.

Anyone can build as much as they want within their own undisputed line. But there should be zero build up in the disputed area.

just heard about an explosion in drdo facility pxe ( proof and experiment establishment),, Indian members can you clarify this??

Tell me exactly what DID China lose back in 62?

ask any chinese or just google.

china withdrew unilaterally, after india declined any ceasefire, peace treaty .. whatever.

china realized, it can't force anything .. hence status-quo-ante still persists.

for your informations, aksai chin wasn't occupied by china in 1962 .. but in 1959, when we had unmanned borders with tibet.

so it wasn't that we lost any territory in 1962 .. it was only surreptitious intrusions of 1959 when pla moved into tibet and further into parts of ladakh.

anyway, that's all known history ... and only way is to solve them via negotiations.

force didn't work in 1962, and won't work now.

both india and china know this.

So the only solution is to accept the dispute area as disputed and do not build up any structure where both sides do patrols. These two lines is agree upon by both sides so there are no confusion to this

in 1962 China was a dirt poor country, worse than India, there were no road systems around the border region on Chinese side and Tibet was very unstable.the country didn't have any decent industry to support the army and the whole nation was deep in the worst days of worst famine in human history...all odds were against us during that time.but we still managed to crush Indian army, look at it now, table had been changed,we are now the second biggest economy in the world,we are the world's biggest industrial and manufacturing power, road and train system are superb on our side and we have strong military industry ready to churn out all kinds of weapons in large quantity if neccesary.and China as a centralized country can mobilize the whole country and her vast industry onto the war time mode in weeks if not days,I really doubt about India's efficiency on this,India is notorious for its slow enforcement.

:what: yeh and China is not developed since then right?

We too are, at least we wont be fighting in shorts and canvas shoes ? I am not here telling that India is a super power what i am telling is if they want a fight then we will give them one.

Who won or lost dosent matter but how we fought is what matters. Indian soldiers during world war II are not know because they won but because of how they fought.

Dying with honor is better than living.

They have 10 times your power projection even now, and as I said copy pasted Soviet weapons, planes and a copy of a few western platforms will only go so far.

oh you are definitely India and NOT Finland, doubt you can pull off a Winter Campaign like the Fins did.

Will you keep doubting or will you just do something. You are free to come and start the campaign they you want to engage in. Oh or are u waiting for the Winter?

Removal of bunkers in the disputed area is the only solution.

China's defence budget has hiked by double digits annually in the past decade, time to show that this astrounomical amount of money wasn't spent for nothing.

In 1962, China has the veterans of Korean war that fought the US marines to the stand still in early 50s. Though China was poor and backward in 1962, its army was battle harden. If you look at fighting ability in 1962, Indian troops has zero chance against these battle harden Chinese Korean War veterans.

In 2013, this veterans do not exist any more. So the outcome is more unknown. We all know that Chinese economy is much bigger than India and its domestic arms industry is much superior. But we do not know the battle capability of the current Chinese troops.
