India, China ink 11 MoUs entailing $ 5.2 billion investment

Win-win situation, I am also hoping India could invest something in China, in IT sector maybe. No country is good in everything.
Does India has any other industry suitable for investment in foreign countries ?

Pharma ( maybe ) ?

but most of our strengths wont work in Govt controlled environment.

What is the biggest investment in china from India's side till date ?

I think Kalyani forge has invested a lot....

We've got $3.2 trillion in currency reserves, and are looking for a place to invest it rather than US bonds.

So you can expect a lot more from where this $5.2 billion came from.

If you were to spend even 20% of your reserves, the dollar will crash in value. this will effectively reduce the value of your reserves. Only way out is increase your consumption and import more. It would be nice if China invests in India in a big way.

Good job. Trade and investments is the right thing to do for India and China.

Make love (and trade), not war

Check out the latest data:

Financial Times - China unlocks the right kind of growth

Tucked into its latest economic data was evidence that the country has finally started to address this problem. Consumption clearly surpassed investment as China’s biggest growth engine, reinforcing a trend that emerged earlier this year – and something that has rarely happened over the past decade.

In the first three quarters, consumption accounted for 55 per cent of growth, while investment contributed 50.5 per cent.

With external demand weak, net exports actually subtracted 5.5 per cent, according to data from the national statistics bureau.

Consumption is now the main driver of Chinese economic growth, followed by investment.

While Net exports actually subtracted 5.5% from our growth.

Good for us. We need dollars as we are internal consumption economy which means money circulates better within but there is need of money to pour from outside.

China is as export oriented economy which means outside money keeps on pouring but due to saving nature of chinese, internal circulation is an issue.

These MoUs will help both countries tackle their shortcoming and typically for India its a great boon,

AND APART FROM ALL........

We wont be talking bout nuking each other hence. Finally some relief. :D :D :D

yaayy, good for india and china!! happy?

Ha Ha. I can smell your emotions. U cant hide them even in writing. :D

In private sector, MoUs were signed between Reliance Power and Guangdone Mingyang Wind Power Industry Group Co, Ltd for a 2,500 MW renewable energy project envisaging an investment of $ 3 billion with project financing from China Development Bank.
Oh! its Reliance again :fie:

With the course of time India-china will become friends if not brothers and will learn to live peacefully.
