Because the Indians refused the offer of China recognizing Aranchal pranchai (south Tibet) as indian but indian need to recongize Aksai China as Chinese territory. The greedy hindus want both. China is not going to agree and rightfully so.

that is even better. Chinese should not give in because why would a stronger nation succumb to a weaker nation. For border to be resolved India need to recognize Aksai Chin and return South Tibet to the Chinese.

The difference as of 2013 is now 5x.

9.2 trillion vs 1.8 trillion, is slightly over five times.

When the 2014 data comes out, no doubt the gap will increase further. We have a much larger base economy and a faster percentage growth rate too, it makes sense that the gap continue to get larger every year.

Both China and India have "No First Use" policies. So there is no risk of a nuclear war, since neither side can use nuclear weapons first.

Which is lucky for India, since their entire nuclear arsenal has been estimated at only around 1 megaton total. Comprised mostly of 20kt fission devices.

Whereas one SINGLE Chinese thermonuclear warhead is around 4 megatons each. One single Chinese nuke has more explosive power than the entire Indian arsenal combined.

But since we both have No First Use policies, that won't come into play. We don't need it anyway, New Delhi is only 300 km from the border, well within range of even our conventional rocket artillery.

We have the world's largest manufacturing base, we can pump out infinite numbers of cheap rocket artillery, and hit the Indian capital without even having to leave our own borders. We can simply sit at the top of the Tibetan plateau, an unbeatable defensive advantage, while we rain endless rockets on your capital.

You cant compare 1962 with 2014 .In 1962 we had a PM having Ahimsa aka Non Violence as face value.He didnt believe in higher level conventional deployment or training of Army and thought like it was some border police .That man Jawaharlal Nehru trusted his northern neighbour .But his friend in China didnt follow that value .He dont forgot that shock till his death in 1964 .
Then two attempts was made by PLA to check the readiness of India in 1967 and 1987 .And they retreated because some thing is not gonna well in PLA .
Now it is 2014 .We dont have any problem internally but our leader is a guy with 'sword for sword ' ,'eye for an eye' mentality .
Perhaps you figured it out when he send 3 more battalions in to the border.
Of course China is several times better than India .But that doesnt mean we are like Vietnam or Japan or Phillipines .
Adventure against us would disaster for China also.
