Cops, reporters panic after Iqbal Town blasts
LAHORE: Residents were not alone in panicking after Friday’s successive blasts in Allama Iqbal Town, as journalists and police personnel were left confused and scared as to when and where the next explosion would occur. A large number of policemen, journalists and the area’s residents surrounded the first blast site in Iqbal Town, with law enforcers asking civilians to back away after the second explosion. The blasts after the first two saw policemen and journalists follow ambulances and rescuers, unaware of what was happening around them. Several policemen were seen to be hesitant after their superiors ordered them to lead them towards the site of the third explosion. staff report
