the only reason we are irritating you now and then is because we dont want to occupy you like pakistan did. it wont take too long for india to walk in and finish all of yo off.

Looks like this Indian wants to kill us all. Watch out Bangladeshi's.

On topic:

We do not yet have a true representative govt. in place, at least here in PDF we here some different view points. Awami League govt. is not the right govt. to decide these issues. Even I do not trust BNP govt. for these India related issues.

I think we should change the constitution and have referendum on issues like this, so we can have a vigorous national debate before such issues go for referendum vote.

So, what keeps India waiting? Why do not the IA's ill-trained ragtag soldiers push in tomorrow. The way BD insults India by denying a direct E-W link, India should have done it long before. But, India understands that we know what IA troops really are because we have seen them act in 1971. So, do it before our BA, BN and BAF become much stronger in the coming years.

Dada khe-e ashe-chen naki khe-e jaben?
U guys don't even cut your coat enough according to your cloths. Rather its us who generously gifted U shiliguri and WB. Tomader Bhita tao to amader dan. Rather Be grateful to us :)

Shiliguri was Hindu majority so we got it. Its was not your generousity but greed to grab it. :omghaha::rofl:

No, there will not be any benefit of this train line to BD. Instead, open your border and build Customs houses with Tripura, Meghalaya and Assam. Many BD goods will pass through these ports to Indian NE. The present rail line is to benefit India only.

You can connect with Trans Asian railway, your relations with Myanmar is already too bad.

No we don't have any intentions to do all those stuffs I guess. Rather we should improve bilateral relations than fighting.

We should first resolve the long standing issue between Bangladesh & India than we can decide upon these rail link.

You agree that long standing issue remain long standing because of lack of political will and trust deficit. Small measures like the one above helps is confidence building exercise and in future we can solve tough ones.

Our relation with Burma will be better once Rohingya issue is solved. HW or RW we will prefer a direct BD-Burma route instead of a long detour through Indian NE.

How will such railway project beneficial to Burma(since you raised same questions in case railway connection with NE India). I don't see any benefit to Burma since they already have many natural harbors or what is the possiblity of such projects when China already preferred Kyaukphyu in Myanmar.

As someone said any infra-structure project is beneficial. BD wanted to finance a 21 km of rly project inside Burma as well as a road to connect it with BD. But, now a days we do not hear anything about these. It is only because the seclusive Burmese are unwilling to talk on any project. A time will certainly come when democracy will be established there and ASEAN countries will push Burma to connect directly with BD and through BD to Indian mainland. We will wait for that day. However, goods from Sylhet zone destined for ASEAN, and all BD goods destined for Indian NE will use the main AH route.

Your answer is in the post you questioned. "we don't want to occupy you "

Another chanakyan rip off of BD via their fagotic awami-leftist dalals. May Allah(swt) protect us from this vulturous invasion. I see many Indians as usual showing us carrot of connectivity with puny Buthan (a defacto Indian state) and Nepal. Both economically useless and don't measure up to the huge strategic and economic gains Indians will make and subsequent vis-vis loss for BD. A country like BD can't make a equal deal with India regarding corridor. The awami mythical carrot of becoming singapore won't work in our case as we are geographically, economically and politically fundamentally different from singapore. We have potential to far surpass that tiny city state. India can easily cause serious problems if we allow this. Just think about the amount of terrorism and instability they can cause inside BD at their wimp. The amount of smuggling and drug trafficking they can do. They will have a free run in BD. It will give them huge leverage over BD even when BAL scums won't be in power. They started CHT insurgency and shuntu larma still whines every now and then. Not to mention bongo bhumi andolon and the Indian ambition of dominating our economy. Our economy and security apparatus is not strong enough to fend off all this Indian incursion. Its as simple as that.

If we have to give them corridor , then lets build up a strong economy first. And the whole thing should then be under our control.

-All incoming cargos should go through complete checkup by BD customs and our customs should have full right to do whatever it wills to do with any cargo.

- A complete prohibition of military and related equipment transfer.

- We should be able to close it any time we like. There can be clauses of compensation then requiring negotiations.

- Both parties should be able to opt out of the deal whenever they will.

- A appropriate corridor fee giving us a net profit. Indian traders can not have the same privileges as BD exporters. Logical. Why should we give it free as some awami dalal adviser suggested couple of years back.

- Complete prohibition from use of our port facilities. It should not be part of any deal.

-They should also offer some added benifits to make up for the huge economic gains they would make. Like giving us a one-sided free access to Indian market and transit to China.

Before all this all outstanding issues should be solved. The most important of which is the maritime boundary issue in Intl court. They have a scheme to make us sea locked through their awami dalals. BD can not afford such a rip off of national interest.

Where is your proof that these all points are not covered in the deal?

I beg to differ, building trust is a two way thing. We can't just blindly give away such a big facility like rail link to India as a sign of good faith. Bangladesh is doing well without India and Insha'Allah will continue to do so. So, the bottom line is if India wants to connect with its NE states through Bangladesh, India must resolve the long standing issue between Bangladesh & India first.

Did you hear Tareq Zia's wife is most likely to lead BNP in the future and about Hasina god bless her as it seems she is getting younger and stronger day by day. I guess we are not going to see any leader with real balls in forseeable future.:hitwall:

Really? You want me to believe after watching all the Hindi serials, Khaleda Zia will hand over power to her daughter in law :girl_wacko:!
