India, Australia to strengthen defence ties to contain China

Actually, your country is doing exactly that! Be it alongside our borders, in the South Chinese Sea with several neighboring countries, or even with Japanes and Russian Islands. So if you think that's stupid, I can only agree with you, because China could have done way better to reduce US power in Asia and that without military.
In Africa for example you have gained way more, by using your financial and economical strenght, to get countries to your side and not by threatening them. But sadly you didn't followed similar peaceful and wise policies with many of your neighbors and that is the real problem, that the US now only use to their benefit, be it politically, or wrt defence strategies.

The rest is plain logic:

- China is dependend on supplies from the IOR, but there are only very few ways to get them to the east, which are geographically under control of Australia and India
- China can't afford to fight Australian and Indian navy in the IOR, since at least 60% of USN is meant to operate in east Asia and the Pacific, which pose the bigger threat
- Creating the possibility of an US – Indo alliance (by the US, not India), makes China to split the land and air forces to their western borders too
- The more China threats it's neighbors, the easier for the US to find allies in the East (Philipines, Vietnam...)

So by some simple policy changes (more importance to India instead of Pakistan like in the past, improving Indian military to pose a threat to China, search for new allies in Asia instead of the older once in Europe, shifting their own forces), they gained a lot of advantages to counter China gaining more power in Asia. No matter if we like it or not, the US know how to play the game!

Sorry dude, I dont buy that: Japan sneakly bought the constest Island, Vietname and Philipine are making the claim on SCS and India is build infrastructure in contest demarcation lines ..and expect us to sit idlely?? If all fall into U.S plot than so be it. You won't have much to gain to deal with China military if we decide to have military built up and spreading our force at Indian border.

If India tactict is fish in trouble water and expect China to offer some territorical concessions due to current situation on eastern front and with American's Asia pivot..than that will only be a bollywood dream. We don't care if at the end U.S is the ultimate winer but India will be certainly a loser as us if not worst...and the fate of ultimate loser shall be decided on the battlefield.

Australia's military is up there with the best forces in the world, they might be small but they are easily one of the best and India could learn a lot from them, this is a very good development.

Ask your poltical masters they will never want China to go to war..flexing muscles is best what it does..

First of all, Aryan invasion of India is a historical fact. Do you deny them by comparing the legitimate historians as Nazis.

Now the Nazi sympathy continues, what next deny the holocaust?

Next, India subcontinent has many independent kingdoms. Your reference to American states do not make sense as America did not exist until 1776 and the states were all part of one country. As for China, most of the provinces you referred were part of a unified country except during the turmoils of warlord period between 1916 until Japanese invasion.

Again you are discriminating Chinese here.

Since when did provinces of a unified nation have separate foreign relations, own military and own Govts.

Its alright you don't need to fear the CCP or 50 cent , even though you support break up of USA. i am sure USA will give you good security.

So you compare this period of several years with the lengthy existence kingdom of Mysore, Maratha, etc... You are fooling no one.

Now quantification of time of existence becomes the characteristic of a nation?

By implication you mean to say PRC is not a nation because it is not even a century old?

The nation you live in currently refer to China as soverign nation.

Such wretched hatred towards the Chinese from you is bringing tears in my eyes

Aussie navy is too small to play any significant role at the moment, they seriously need to increase the numbers. The best scenario for them is to tie up with USN and IN.
