India admits to death of 13 soldiers in LoC firing

NEW DELHI: Defense Minister of India has confessed that 13 Indian soldiers were killed in exchange of firing with Pakistani troops, on the day seven Pakistani soldiers were killed. Before this statement, India did not revealed the deaths of its soldiers.



COAS Raheed Shareef has recently said that India knows what Pakistan is capable of, because of fear India is hiding the deaths of its soldiers. After which the defense minister of India revealed the number of deceased soldiers.

Defense Minister of India said that he is highly concerned over the statement of COAS of Pakistan.

He said that 13 of our soldiers were killed but we did not give any statement regarding any vengeance against Pakistan. He further said that violation of ceasefire if done by Pakistani soldiers, the statement of General Raheel Sharif is unbearable and is synonymous to war.

Looks like the Nation journalist speaks the Inzamam brand of English - the Indian Defense Minister has made no such claim.

What RS said and who started, is not the question in first place and even it has to be verified then as India can keep silent on her casualties until & unless COAS dared them to accept, can and is still manipulating the facts. India started unprovoked firing and 7 martyred on our side while in retaliation, all those numbers on Indian side are the proof.

DM Sahib, it is not an easy task to give statement on such casualties of precious lives that too being sacrificed for political cause by starting cross border firing hence kept silent.

Wait for the brigade with more excuses as lastly it was started with no casualties, COAS is saving face while turned into, yes a bit of skirmish but none lost the lives now furthering at, Yes there were casualties on the same day and would end at more revelations as the time goes by. Indian people are already protesting due to the currency notes ban and outrage is found due to many other undelivered promises while supporting the claim of opposition parties. In view of such type of humiliation, it is expected that there will be more aggressive to show type stunts to calm the public and may be, as long as a war monger is holding authority, it is feared that things might escalate further that we have no intention to do so except when push come shove, there will be "Perfect Retaliation" like before.

There is no grudge for Indian public at all or against the soldiers but what the leadership of India is up-to, will be creating a vacuum among people hard to fill but hopefully none will buy it.

While it is the same night when 7 Pakistani soldiers were martyred though are not mentioned in the same article, IMO, a bit of too early statement by Indian DM with respect to 13 Indian soldiers killed in retaliation during the same night (Sunday it was) skirmish. . . . . and conclusion of the same came out on Monday the 14th November, 2016. IMO, how can DM MP can confirm such losses of Indian Soldiers that too during ongoing skirmish.

Of course it isn't.. That's cool. I'm just confirming for you, that no such statements have been given. What was mentioned was that 26 ppl have died since the shelling started, including 12 civilians..

You did not get the point. He confirmed that 13 soldiers have died since the Uri attack. (Not counting the Uri victims)

I think the 13 soldiers killed were all casualties since the Pathankot attack. Thats from over a month of fighting along the LOC. The Pakistani paper is trying to say that these 13 all died in one day, which is complete BS.
