How are we two nations gonna get along in the long run if we can't even share our natural resources without taking our case to international courts every other year?

This is a question best put to Pakistan. Everytime you have taken this to court, you have lost. This is a treaty that is among the most generous ever to a lower riparian state. When yopu keep up a creazy rant like India is stealing water without any basis, it is only a metter of time before someone in Delhi asks for a new treaty to peplace the IWT, one that will go by standard international princioles. That should reduce water given to Pakistan substantially. Maybe only then, will Pakistanis have a value for what they are getting.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today flagged the issue of return of power projects by NHPC to the state as of significant importance, saying that losses caused to the state on account of Indus Water Treaty (IWT) are enormous.

While Pakistan and rest of India benefited from the Indus Water Treaty, "the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been put to disadvantageous position," Omar Abdullah said at a high level meeting of officials from Union Power Ministry and state Power development department.

Chenab valley project is a Government of Jammu and Kashmir concern, since Pakistanis don't consider J&K to be India's and they signed the IWT with India, don't know what they are complaining about. They should go talk to the Kashmiris not Indians

There is cooperation ,no wonder the indian side had been ent to Islamabad to sort out the issues,but still there is mistrust amonst people of both the countries,we have a reason ,for Indian's ,they know their country has been giving more water to a downstream country that it should be giving as per International policies. Pakistan has lost it case last time around aswell,where IJC has upheld india's stand,and have allowed it to move ahead with the constfuction,pakistan can go to the court if they want,but for an Indian i would like India to build many more mega dams unless and utill people of J&K get its fruit.

They need to introspect before making such accusation...... They have taken this to an international court and lose the case...
