India a strategic partner, China not there yet: Israel

Please don't talk like a fanboy while blindsiding the ground realities.China needs at least 10-15 years to catch up to USA in terms of nominal GDP.even then its GDP per capita will be 1/4 or 1/5 of that of USA.That means USA has much more money and much less civic burden than China.
They may be nipping at each others toe by 2050 but certainly China will not have the all around superiority that you claim.
I agree.

ISRAEL is perhaps only ally of india which dont sell weapons to our enemies .

though few harpy drones were sold to china

every other ally do have selled or are still selling weapons either east or west of india ??

surely israel is indeed india's key strategic partner & this relationship would grow even further under the leadership of MODI

CHEERS

Really? How about the fighter jets that they sold to China? (weren't they Kfir on whose basic design, JF17 is based on?) Or even the Radars?

Even I have been a supporter of Israel for most of my life, but this blind love for a country which doesn't necessarily reciprocate the same kind sentiments is really getting to me. But Israel, like any other country, has a right to pursue its own national interests -- even when they don't coincide with India's (which is perfectly fine). And it has certainly demonstrated that in the past -- including selling weapons/radars, sharing intelligence with countries that have been hostile with India.

They certainly didn't think twice charging India exorbitantly high prices for their ammunition during Kargil crisis or even selling outdated satellite imagery!! Which country would do such a thing with a friendly country -- forget a strategic partner?

'Friendly nation' supplied outdated satellite images during Kargil conflict: ex-Army chief

I can tell you from my own personal experience, they will do whatever suits their interests best -- even if it means throwing India under the bus in heart-beat (which again is perfectly fine, everybody is entitled to pursue their own interests!).

I would like if India and we Indians, instead, have a relationship with Israel which is not based on blind love -- but ruthlessly follow an agenda which is based on our own interests and with rational expectations.

Isn't it the same crime that we often accuse Pakistanis of -- of becoming puppets of others even when they are detrimental to their own national interests?
