India a civilisation with a future, Pakistan an abstract idea: Tarek Fatah

insensitive freak. i would like to know what happened to him in pakistan which makes him hate that country so much.

Indian civilization? Someone ask this loud fart that name India itself was the invention of the colonials, the forigen occupiers, how come it can be classed as "civilization" !! The only civilization is Indus, build and sustained for thousands of years by the ancestors of Pakistan.

Plenty care what he has to say, nobody cares what you have to say. See the difference ? LOL.

He gets press coverage and Media attention, you get to whine in a pakistani forum.

Not plenty. Only bharat and some bharatis care about what he say.

We kicked him out like a dog that he is. More important question is why India is acting like trashcan for every trash of Pakistan and BD.

"But this phenomenon plagues all Indians. Even Hindus who have made money take fancy names. So Namrita becomes Nikki Haley and Piyush becomes Bobby Jindal. They are all liars," Fatah said.

Nikki and Bobby are not living in India. They are adapting to their new environment which is something Tareq Fatah argues for. If anything, it is high time Tareq change his name to "Tony" Fatah.

. . . . . .
If he do not wish to call himself Pakistani or ashamed to call himself one, then he should stop talking bout his old country. Simple as that.

Attacking the man rather than his ideas is an admission that he is right.

If you can point out where his arguments are wrong in a cool headed and intelligent fashion...then do so....if you cannot argue his logic and revert to calling him names, then sorry....but...he wins!

.
Many scores of people in India are hell bent on stopping his program 'fateh ka fatwa'
FYI: He hates Saudi Arabia as much as he hates Pakistan.
What did these two countries do Mr Fateh for him to hate so much?

Pakistan may be an abstract idea, but so was USA at one point. And both are concrete realities today. What's the problem here? :D

they did nothing to him personally.

he just dislikes the premises on which these societies are built....as he clearly points out in his arguments, if you actually bother to read them. If you cannot break his argument then feel free to ascribe random motives to him or call him names. But in the end to any audience , the ideas speak for themselves....and name calling is not an argument.

BTW...I am not a great fan of Saudi myself....they have done nothing to me....and the few saudis I have met have been very nice people....but a society that does not allow women to live without a male guardian or to drive, that executes homosexuals and stones women for adultary...I find to be disgusting and not admirable. They have done me personally no harm. ...but I still don't like the culture.

The key difference between the "American Revolution" and the French Revolution (or the division of the subcontinent, I suppose) is that the American Revolution was conservative: it aimed to return government power to its previous responsibilities and accountability - locally elected assemblies - after George III attempted to usurp them. So everything was already "concrete". (Even the idea of formally abandoning royalty had been developed by the Puritans & Separtists over a century earlier when they built their communities in New England.)
