I am going off topic, but I really feel the worst politicians in India are not the ones in UP and Bihar, its those in NE.

Their level of corruption would shame the ones in UP and Bihar. The sad part is that because of lack of connectivity, media does not cover that region well.

Politicians from Manipur tops the list followed by Nagaland and then politicians from tribal areas of Assam. NIA had uncovered biggest corruption scam in my distt of N.C Hills (dima hasao) of assam few years ago, such a shame.

Fortunately the incompetent state govts won't be left with handling such important work
& the govt has formed a new Company that will excursively focus on development of roads in NE

Hopefully new administration in Delhi will actually implement the policies it make . Earlier govt will just hand over financial packages one after another which would just disappears some where . Locals don`t need packages but actual work on the ground . Small things like electrification , road construction, basic health care would have made huge difference. Combined with corruption, ignorance and Insurgency , all played a big role in the past to halt progress of the region. Let`s see what happens in the future , I m optimistic though.
