The main trading items of India were spices and all of them was produced in the South of India.

And it was the Cholas of Tamil Nadu who pioneered the maritime trade route to SE Asia after conquering it and and continued trade with China.

Silk was produced in Benaras and in South too (Kanchipuram)

Cotton was grown in Deccan/Maharashtra region more than ever in Bengal.

Indo-Gangetic plain stretching from Punjab to Bengal was the breadbasket of North and East India. Not Bengal alone.

South produced its own rice in the Godavari ,Krishna and Kaveri deltas.

We think G20 is a better option which could server BD better. We are not a donor country yet. But insallah one day G20 will replace G8 all together when G8 will be all irrelevant.
