In US-Arab led Coalition attack on Iran: Will Pakistani Land accept millions of Iranian refugees? Will Pakistanis take Irainian migrants as its border neighbour?

This is a question because in Iran-Iraq War and Islamic Revolution hundreds, thousands and thousands of Iranians migrated to Pakistan.

Infact in Lahore City, capital of Punjab, i still met Iranians who have settled in Pakistan and built thier successful lives after hard working and intelligence. Those Iranians have kids now and thier kids now study and work in Pakistan permanently. They visit Iran every now and then but thier home is Pakistan.

Will Pakistan take millions of Iranian refugees?

NO......

Iranian would rather move to Europe, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkey etc if those Govts allow refugees.

I dont think there will be any war with Iran, but if the situation arise, i wouldnt mind Pakistan hosting Iranians for some time. we should rather worry about sending uncivilized treacherous Afghans back then thinking about possible Iranian refugee.

I don’t understand your misplaced racist and arrogant mindset against Pakistan and Pakistanis. Many of your countrymen are also like this.

We have not had much contact for the past 300 years with each other (British rule and current Pakistan state), so where does the spring of hate come from?

Is it because you try to compare us with Hindis/Indians, and have a difficult time understand who we are? Is it because you don’t know us, hence hate what is strange to you?

I also see the hate Iranians have toward Afghan Pukhtoons in the same way.

What is the source of it?
Its their petty superiority complex. They think they are white Europeans, when infact they are like any other Arab and pakistani.

Atleast they won't bite us back like snakes in our backyard.
You might want to read someone their ignorant comments

Attitude doesn't matter when your survival is at risk. They would do what any other people would do and have done in similar situation.
Ya, I still dont want that attitude stinking up the air in my country.

Iranian will consider death fighting yanks then moving to poor Pakistan, they would rather move to Europe, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkey etc if those Govts allow refugees.
Like they would let that happen.

never seen migrants from the highlighted countries but for others you may also include them.
Europens include, polish and the Balkan folk (Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo etc) Turks when their was a very anti-Muslim atmosphere in the country. Alot moved to Pakistan. My parents had Turkish refugee friends, growing up. North Korean, alot of students come to Pakistan to study and well...hide

Iran have great influence over Iraq, Turks are also refugee friendly like Pakistan and wouldn't hesitate to host just like the did with syrian, Bosnian and others. but why we are even discussing it when there is no chance of war? we should discuss it when Yank move their 150000 soldiers to Middle east.

I'm not discussing their migration. I just have an issue with their attitude problem.

I have met many people in lahore who have married Iranians, Infact my best friend from school has an iranian mother, but not a pure iranian family settled here ....

Personally I don't think it would come to that..
Trump won't attack but he is in turmoil, if he doesn't his masters in isreal would replace him in 2020.
But I still think it won't come to that.

Iranians hate everyone..
Why?
Because they can.

I don’t know why you are being tad harsh on Pakistani state for. Claiming it has neglected or let muslims down?

Regionally...Pakistani state has done what it can

1947 millions of Indian Muslims let into Pakistan. 1979 Millions of Afghans refugees entered into Pakistan for safety. Other Muslims allowed to in Karachi.

International problems. What can we do there declare war on these non Muslim states? That realistically is impossible and which Muslim states are going to defend our eastern border with India ? During this time

While we send our Army on campaigns abroad.
Pakistani state has not let down Muslims but its own people due to the very bad selection of leaders...
You hope to rescue and care for other Muslims but first care for your own house.
Stop dreaming about creating a fictional Kingdom of Muslim..
It has not happened and would not happen..
If you can provide security and welfare to your own people then it is more the Enough. And even if you want to care for these people you have to solve your own house problems..

Becoming refugees has a way of making people humble and abandon their preposterous egos in relation to their neighbors.

For example, Syrians ran to Europe believing they would be embraced with open arms in relation to their lighter skin (than other Arabs) and the propaganda they were fed (ironically by Assad regime) that they were not Arab but white Phoenicians.

Much good that did them when they were kept in cages, abused, mocked, and ridiculed through the length and breadth of Europe.
This is the first time I am hearing this.
Where did you get your news? Haqeeqat TV ? You yourself could start a channel then.

Trust me dude had Syrian ran to the gulf States they would be treated more badly then they are treated in Europe.

They have very good relations with hindus so this is not the reason
Only if Pakistanis understand this..
They think every Muslim country comes with default settings of hate India..

Iranians, Pakistanis share history but still don’t know each other, says Humans of Tehran photographer

Behrad Nafisi Mistry is on his first visit to Pakistan and hopes to come again for more Pakistani stories

Behrad Nafisi Mistry runs the popular Facebook page ‘Humans of Tehran’ and wants to present the stories of Iran that the world does not get to hear about.

He is a freelance photographer, travel writer and is a research fellow in English and cultural studies at the Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran.

Dawn caught up with the 29-year-old in Rawalpindi as he travels across the country.

This is your first time in Pakistan. How has your experience been so far?

My grandmother was born and raised in Karachi before partition, after which she migrated to Bombay. I grew up hearing stories of the region as it was before partition and have heard about places like the Zoroastrian Bahrana Fire Temple, Express Market and Saddar so I had a positive image of Pakistan.

My father was born in Bombay but he moved to Tehran where he married my mother just before the Islamic revolution in Iran. That is why I consider myself a quarter Pakistani, a quarter Indian and half Iranian.

Related: Looking back at Karachi's Irani cafe culture

I must say most people in Iran do not know much about Pakistan though both countries share so much history and culture. They do not know the real Pakistan which I have experienced during my short stay here and I would like to portray this Pakistan through my photographs and writings back home. So far, they are amazed.

"Language is a big barrier, especially when you are trying to explain the purpose of your photography to someone who does not speak the same language. But the people in Pakistan are not shy and they nod happily even before I have asked permission to photograph them."

How did Humans of Tehran come about?
Humans of Tehran is run by three photographers and was founded in 2012. When my friend Seerin Barghi’s father passed away, she had a breakdown and cut herself off from the world. We encouraged her to listen to other people’s stories and eventually, we started gathering these stories and posting them online for everyone to read. Together, we worked towards showing the stories of Tehran to the world.

Iranians talk a lot; they talk about politics, the weather, and society, everything but themselves. It is like having a mask on your face and it is very difficult to get that mask off. You cannot just randomly photograph someone at a public place as well. So we start a conversation with someone, spend some time with them till they open up and share their stories. There is also the language barrier as the older generation has difficulty understanding English and do not know what Humans of Tehran is about.

"It is sad that we Iranians fly over Pakistan while travelling to India or southeast Asian countries and Pakistanis fly over Iran while travelling to Turkey and other western countries but the citizens of both do not visit the other country. We do not know each other."

How many countries have you travelled to for Humans of Tehran?
I've been to India, Iraq, Malaysia, Singapore, Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. My experience of travelling in Iraq was very nice. People would often be camera shy. I always felt like only the Iranians took hospitality seriously other than in India, where they treat guests like god. But I have experienced the same in all of South Asia.

This is my first visit to Pakistan and I have a lot of things in mind right now. I am so excited. I have been to Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Hassanabdal and Taxila and I look forward to visiting other places. I do have some Pakistani stories but I want to visit again to collect more stories which is why I am thinking about taking Urdu classes in Tehran.

What do you think of Pakistan-Iran relations?
It is sad that we Iranians fly over Pakistan while travelling to India or southeast Asian countries and Pakistanis fly over Iran while travelling to Turkey and other western countries but the citizens of both do not visit the other country. We do not know each other. The visits are limited to religious tourism. I think Pakistanis and Iranians should visit each other’s countries and experience shared culture.

iranians will not go anywhere, US troops are not isis to force people to migrate, people probably gonna travel to villages or small towns like they did in iran-iraq war.

Lets hope it doesn't comes to that and common sense prevails. Trump looks, talks and behaves like a silly 5 year old but I don't think he is a like all that. If you look at his record so far what he says initially is to provoke others and gets response out of them, to get what he wants from them. He actually have been more smarter then many before him but he acts and behaves like dumb. I doubt very much he will start a war unless US is 120% sure they can win it without any cost to them. This war will have a cost for Israel so its all pressure tactics.
As far Iranian refugees are concerned and some section of Iranian population attitudes, we have taken refugees before and no doubt if it happens we will take them. We all have got attitudes so lets not make a matter of egos'.
If thanks to Allah we are in a better position it doesn't means we look down on others. Imagine today Iran is in US cross hair what will happens few years down the line if US warships and planes show up in our waters and air. Iran did helped us in all our wars and no one can deny that. Since Iranian revolution our close relations have been cooled down but not gone away. Iran is our friend, neighbour and brother country and we have shared history, many may not agree with it and in the recent past we are not as close due to both countries different interests.
If today Iran feels isolated and surrounded , don't forget our 2 very long borders are hot too. From China you expect help only and China is never ever going to fight our wars and we have to do it ourselves so lets not make more enemies.

US attacked Vietnam they exported war to Cambodia.

US attacked Iraq they exported war to Syria.

US attacked Afghanistan they failed to export war to Pakistan.

US will attack Iran and try again on Pakistan.

I got a better suggestion for American establishment. Attack and destroy India, and then use it to launch war against Pakistan, after all, we share longest border with these rats in east. :D

Did Iranian in WW2 went to Pakistan ? did they went to Pakistan in WW1 ? what about Iran , Iraq War ?

Yes but do you see their attitude problem? It's insane

Nah, Iranians be white and European. Yall have a serious cultural problem you need to address.
lol. I have a persian friend and she got married in iran "over a year" ago. Her husband is still in iran unable to come to the USA and some here are delusional thinking USA will let middle eastern refugees in anymore while trump is in the office. Even otherwise they are making immigration to the US very very tough. Eventually, most of the naturalized US citizen will not be able to sponsor a whole lot of family. During the 80 there was plenty of Irani refugees all over major cities and lived here very comfortably.
